LZIII is by far the weakest of the three albums to begin with (the only AOR track was the Immigrant Song), although fans will argue about the bluesy and gospel feel to this record being a true bell weather of the band's range. I like it but not enough to get incredibly excited about the extra tracks, although there are some nuggets here. As always, if you're a fan, you've already made up your mind, so why are you reading my review?

What's great about it: The cover art features spinning wheel design (psychedelic!)
If there was ever an album that needed a "making of" makeover, it was LZII, a powerhouse of rock history, some of the most well known and beloved tracks in rock, like "Whole Lotta Love" and "Heartbreaker." Sadly, the producers missed a golden opportunity not including the history of these tracks in the booklet, which once again only features pictures and not any written documentation to one of the greatest rock albums ever recorded. The sound, however, it terrific, and it's pretty cool to hear some alternate takes on some of the tracks, but otherwise a major album done in a minor way. But, hey, you're gonna buy it anyway!

What's great about it: One of the seminal albums in rock history
What's not so great: Extras are not exciting, just pictures no meat to the booklet.
While pictures of the band are nice, these box sets suffer from limited information and historical limitation. The sound is great, and on this disc specifically the live tracks are sensational, but I was expecting more overall from these packages. Recommended but not enthusiastically.
