Refurb = High Chance of Being Broken?

I suppose my review is incomplete given the refurbished camcorder I purchased was broken out of the box. The camera's firmware and screen/buttons all functioned perfectly. However, the video it recorded on all settings (low, standard, and HD) was choppy and grainy in perfectly lighted conditions. The Nikon camera (not camcorder) I purchased 3years ago for $100 records better video.
1) Refurbished camera was defective or is horribly awful. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was broken.
2) The video editing/managing software that came with the camera was mediocre at best. It saved files in a proprietary format instead of a standard AVI or MPeg format.
Anyhow, I returned it and received my full refund. I would prefer to purchase a Sony or Panasonic camera, but they're too expensive, but you get what you pay for.
This was a good 3-d movie experience. The resolution of the scenes in space, including the shuttle launch, and various space walks was impeccable and eye capturing. The Telescope and shuttle bay appeared to be jutting out of the screen.
I was hoping for more space imagery (galaxies, stars, etc.) in 3-d. However, they focused more on the mission to upgrade and repair the hubble rather than the imagery it captured over the years. There was 10 or 15 minutes of space imagery, and could have definitely used more. Overall, a 45 minute video is kind of lacking for a $30 price tag.
Nonetheless, it was mind blowing and captivating ... good for all audiences.
