Good picture, nice options

After seven years, one of my monitors had begun to fail and after some searching, I came across these ASUS monitors. I was hesitant at first because I didn't know anything about ASUS monitors, but the Best Buy rep assured me that unless I was going for super high-end, these would not disappoint. After limping along with one failing monitor, I was able to score these on black Friday at a whopping $179 each, way below my budget.
Many others have noted that the colors are a bit "off" out of the box, but some fine tuning of color controls and you get some stunning picture quality. I myself have also made use of nVidia's control panel to further adjust the colors to something more close to what they should be. ASUS boasts the ability to use these monitors in any position you want, however they are stretching the truth just a bit since these monitors are not IPS. Turning them on their sides in vertical view gives you washed out and inverted colors. It's not terrible, if you're just using Excel or Word, you should be fine, but for someone like me doing graphics work, having any kind of incorrect colors is a bad thing. The quality is both clear and crisp. While not 4K, stepping up from seven year old LED monitors gives me a nice view of how badly everything looks on the internet due to lousy camera phone quality. Low-res video will also seem more pixelated just because everything is just so much clearer.
While not IPS, the screens do have a decent range so you can view them at fairly angled positions. You begin to notice whites turning yellow as you get beyond 35-45 degree angles. Blacks could be a lot more black, they do suffer from some slight washout of the back lights, but only noticeable if you have a black background like me or during system boots.
The monitors support 144Hz refresh rates, but can be adjusted lower, suiting your own personal needs. Currently, with dual monitors, my GTX970 does not support anything higher than 60Hz on a second monitor, regardless if it is plugged into the Display Port or HDMI. The GTX970 doesn't come with two DVI ports, I cannot test if it's the card or the software. However, since my gaming and most movies are shown on my main monitor running 144Hz, this was not a deal breaker. However, the second monitor plugged into the Display Port does give some extra/advanced color and visual options that do not show up in DVI or HDMI under nVidia's control panel. I believe these are if you are running the monitor as a TV.
The 1ms response time is also very nice, my old monitors were 2ms (not bad for seven years old). There is an option to change the amount of "tracing" you get when things move across the screen, I notice on older games like WoW, this affects it in a negative way, so I leave it down on the factory setting of 60. There are other options I haven't even played with yet, there's all sorts of them, I would recommend doing some research on them if you get these.
I have not tested the speakers with these monitors, but other reviews do make mention of them. They are not on the sides or bottom, rather behind the monitor facing left and right. What I am most glad for is not only having the audio in for using the speakers, but you also have an audio out for headphones. I run a Bluray player through HDMI on one monitor with headphones out the other side.
Both my monitors are hanging on a dual arm monitor stand. It's a bit on the cheaper side, but even with these monitors being a bit heftier than what I'm used to, the stand seems to support them just fine. You don't have the bulky power blocks, everything is built into the monitor.
Overall, if you have a chance to get these before they are discontinued, you won't be disappointed. They have very nice feature, nice quality and are easier on the wallet than some other monitors with similar features.

Finally released... again!

It's about time Nintendo released these figure properly. Apparently, this figure and a few others were released in summer 2015, but no one could find them because they weren't officially released until November that year. Fast forward to fall of 2016 and they are here again. It seems these are being rereleased and are now available everywhere.
Samus is depicted here in her Varia suit, the iconic red, yellow and orange. The detail is just awesome and the paint is a nice metallic sheen. I personally don't own the Amiibo system, but I have collected a few of the figures and this was one of the ones I just had to have. Don't think twice if you see one, grab her before she's gone for good!

Spoilers ahead!
This is it, this is the one Bond movie that no one thought would happen. Any real Bond fan will quickly realize the eerie similarity between this and On Her Majesty's Secret Service. That's is the first mistake they made. The second mistake was the whole "I'm having daddy issues and will bring the entire world to ruin just to get back at my brother for being better than me" plot that this movie suddenly throws at you to insult your intelligence just a bit more.
Yes, every one of the Bond movies starring Daniel Craig was just chewed up and spit out with some lame plot that his brother (Blofeld) was truly responsible for everything that has happened since Casino Royale came out. This entire movie was simply an attempt to cash in on a long dead enemy of the early Bond franchise. The problem with SPECTRE (the organization, not the movie) is that it doesn't work in today's world. Much like how you can't have cold war troubles in Star Trek, because there is no cold war, no one would understand.
This movie actually would have worked if they had left out the 'evil brother' plot and just stuck to 'evil terrorist organization determined to rule the world' plot (COBRA, is that you?). Now, the reason SPECTRE (the movie) didn't work is because we were already treated to Quantum, the "SPECTRE" of today's Bond. They had already established that Quantum was doing everything that SPECTRE was supposedly doing on top of what Quantum was doing... or something like that, I don't really know, I find it hard to believe that one super power has another super power as a front that is also just as secret and no one knows it exists. If your super secret organization is so secret, why do you need a secondary super secret organization to hide the main one if no one even knows it's there to begin with?
I really half expected to have the Avengers show up, but I keep forgetting this is SPECTRE, not HYDRA... though there seems to be some similarities there as well. At least we were given an awesome opening credit song by Sam Smith. Most of the action scenes were sub-par, even by James Bond standards, the car chase scene just didn't do anything for the movie either. The way the entire series has gone (and the way this one ended), I'm sure Bond will be back at work as if he never stole a top secret prototype car and disobeyed the orders of every single person of higher authority than him. If they make one more.
Casino Royale started us off real good, but the entire series since then just kind of lost its spark and I feel this movie was just throwing everything it could into the pot and hoping whoever ate it didn't notice how bad it was by adding lots of spices.

For real Star Wars fans

Ever wanted to know what happened in the 20-some years between ep. 3 and 4? This is it. The story follows a fairly diverse crew of Rebels working to make as much trouble for the new Empire as possible 5 years before ep.4.
Characters include Kanan, a Jedi in hiding, Herra, the green-skinned Twi'lek pilot of the Ghost, Garazeb, the muscle of the crew, Sabine, a former Mandolorian turned rebel, Chopper, the astromech droid with an attitude, and Ezra, the young "hopeful" that finds himself joined with the crew and aspiring to be a Jedi.
There really isn't a whole lot to say without giving away spoilers. The series does start out kind of slow at first, but it is still entertaining. They do have cameos from past characters every once in a while. I have read a lot of reviews that give negative marks for characters being kind of bland and 1-dimensional (the irony of being in 3D) and that the stories aren't deep and don't last very long. What most of these people forget is that this series is aimed at kids, not adults. This should be apparent to anyone since it's shown on Disney.
However, that does not mean it's not a fun series to watch. It certainly has its moments that make you glad to be a Star Wars fan. There are most definitely some moments where you can tell it's mainly for kids, but if you go into it knowing that, you will enjoy yourself.
The animation does not follow the Clone Wars style, slightly more 'cartoonish', some may appreciate this after Clone Wars' blocky and square style of modeling.
A bit of trivia, Zeb's model is based on the original concept design for Chewbacca way back in the 70's, much like the new X-Wing for ep.7. The entire series of Rebels is based on the idea that the Clone Wars series was originally slated to be, following a small crew of "rebels" in a cargo ship as they helped in the battle against Doku and the droid army.
Now, can't wait for season 2!

Nice set

I was happy to finally have all three original Robocop movies on Blu-ray and in a nice compact form. Yep, don't let the size of the case fool you, a lot of Blu-rays are going this route, which is fine by me.
The first two movies are certainly not as "friendly" like the 2014 remake, they are very graphic and violent, so not exactly kid's movies. If you enjoyed Deadpool, you probably would enjoy these (since he even makes a reference to Robocop in the movie [no spoilers]).
Robocop tells the story of Frank Murphy, a transfer who has come to Detroit Metro West PD. He and his partner, Ann Lewis track down the thugs of a recent bank robbery and the main antagonist, Clarence Bodikker (Kurtwood Larson Smith, also Red Forman in 'That 70's Show'). After being gunned down, OCP begins working on rebuilding Murphy into Robocop. Soon, Robocop begins his struggle with who he is, what he is and what has happened to him and his old life.
Robocop 2 picks up nearly where the first one leaves off, Detroit police are now on strike due to salary and pension cuts as OCP goes forward with plans to take the city private and build Delta City. The new antagonist, a drug lord named Cain has been pushing a drug called Nuke. After a failed attempt at a second Robocop project, Cain is soon chosen to become the new law enforcement cyborg with Nuke being his Achilles's heel to make him obey. From there, Cain figures out how to break free of control resulting in a massive fight between him and Robocop.
Robocop 3 centers around a continuing story (no specific time frame, maybe only months) of OCP going forward with plans to demolish Old Detroit and build Delta City with the help of hired mercs nicknamed Rehabs. Soon Robocop must choose between helping people who are being forced into the streets or his programming that prevents him from helping because the mercs are hired by OCP.
Robocop 3 errs on the side of "marketable" with much less violence and gratuitous bloodshed. It also features some humor that seems out of place for this franchise (think Terminator: Rise of the Machines) and does not have Peter Weller returning to fill the role. It's not really terrible, but it just doesn't have the same feeling as the first two.
All in all, a nice find and definitely worth the money to have them all in one neat and tidy set!

The sequel to the hugely popular, 'Jurassic Park', this pics up a year later as you discover the second island where they did all the actual genetic work and a race to stop InGen from removing the dinosaurs from the island to bring them to San Diego for a new attraction.
Picked this up with Jurassic Park 1 and 3 and Jurassic World for one low price, all in collectible, matching tins. So nice that Best Buy was able to get these like this!

Jurassic World picks up where the first one leaves off, some 20 years later with a new park opened. Every few years, a new attraction is made to keep people interested, but their latest attraction has gotten out and it's on a destructive rampage.
It's still not "Jurassic Park", but no movie will ever be the original. After number 3, it was almost like "how many excuses are they going to think of to go back to the islands?". It has been confirmed that this takes places after Jurassic Park, so seeing 2 and 3 are not needed, however you can if you still want to as the movie itself doesn't actually say none of that happened, that was the director.
Picked this up on sale for $20. I had seen this version with the collectible tin everywhere else, but it was always more expensive at other stores. Plus, they had a deal to get matching tins for the previous three movies, so I snatched them up right away!

With a Serial ATA interface, this WD Blue WD10EZEXSP internal hard drive easily connects to your PC or Mac. The 1TB capacity offers ample space to house important files, such as pictures, videos and music.

Will this work in a gaming pc?

It would, but I would recommend a Black Series drive or an SSD if you can afford it. This Blue series drive is geared more for standard computers, so it won't have the high end performance you would want for gaming and other taxing type software.

Is this monitor able to produce actual sound?

answer plz
These monitors have an AUX-IN to play sound through the built in speakers on the back. They also have a headphone out jack for headphones or even other speakers. I run my Bluray through an HDMI cable and output sound to headphones this way.

Are the cable ports really on the upper right hand side? Therefore your cables connecting to your computer or gaming system will be hanging off the right side of the monitor instead of hidden in back?

No, the cables are located on the lower left on the back (facing the monitor). The ports all face downward instead of straight back also.

Is this a good monitor for gaming on a PS4 ?

As long as you can hook your PS4 up to it, this would be good for playing on. However, since you aren't running it through a PC, you won't be able to make use of the 144Hz refresh rate.

I want to buy 3 of these monitors and put them on a triple monitor arm. Am I able to take the stand off? Or does the stand come off the monitor already?

Yes, the stands come off and the monitors have standard VESA mounting points. I would also ensure you have a fairly heavy duty stand to support these as the monitors themselves are a bit top heavy. Make sure the mounting plate can support heavier monitors so you don't have to prop something up under them.

Is this an IPS monitor? Does it still have strong viewing angles when tilting the monitor?

No, these are not IPS monitors. While they do have a decent viewing range below a 45 degree angle, you will notice some color wash out and whites turning yellow at angles more than that. While the stands they come with do allow you to flip them for vertical viewing, I would only recommend doing so if you are using programs without graphics, like Word or Excel as the change in position will cause colors to be affected negatively.
