My son bought this for the Xbox to play Destiney. He loves it. And it was pretty cool when a) it would guess correctly every time (well, almost) when playing 20 Questions. And b) when he changed the wakeup name from "Alexa" to "Computer" and then let my try out some old ST commands! :) But, I'm still not sold enough on it's security to leave it out and plugged in all day... (that's the only reason I gave it 4 stars, instead of the 5 my son suggested). Maybe some day (soon, I'd hope!)... I love it's potential!!

I replaced a previous, and slightly smaller Panasonic, that only lasted 3 years. The reviews here and online convinced me to give the Panasonic line, another chance. This one is also more feature rich, so that's a nice plus. With the amount of use we put through one of these, I do expect at least 5 years of life. But, even after 5 years, it should, still, have plenty of life in it. We'll see! One other note: Its much more powerful, and faster, than what food packaging is expecting... if the package says x number of mins, it will way over cook if you don't reduce that time by at least 80% - to me, that's a plus; less time waiting...

Obviously... BUT, IF you want "healthy", you can't beat not having been deep fried! However, the stuff I tried; French Fries, Onion Rings, Croquets... just didn't taste as good as fried. I would rather eat less fried foods, and when I do, fry it in Olive Oil, or some other "healthy" oil, and get the FULL flavor!! I'm taking it back.... But that's me... Otherwise, it worked as promised; very little mess, easy to clean, quick, etc....
