GREAT SOUND! GREAT FEATURES! BUY IT!

The Bose name is synonymous with great sound. The Soundtouch 30 series III certainly lives up to that and more. I listened to the 10, 20 & 30 in a Bose store. The 30 had the best sound for me.
I use this unit throughout the day in my home office. I have a SIRIUSXM receiver plugged into the AUX input and my favorite channels sound great. The Soundtouch connects to your home WIFI network for controlling it and also to provide outside connectivity.
My biggest surprise was all the extra music features that come built in to the unit:
INTERNET RADIO STATIONS FROM AROUND THE WORLD.
ADDING A MUSIC LIBRARY (ITUNES, ETC)
ADDING A MUSIC SERVICE (deezer, iHeartRadio, Pandora, Spotify, and just added SIRIUSXM). If you subscribe to SIRIUSXM's online play feature, the recent update will let you enjoy your favorite channels complete with song/artist displaying on the unit.
BLUETOOTH (play music from your phone, tablet or computer).
A lot of the selections can be saved on one of the six presets located on top of the unit and also included with the APP.
Whatever you do, download the APP for your computer, phone or tablet. I can control my Soundtouch from anywhere in my home.
If you decide to purchase another Series III device(s), you can link them all together so that the same programming is broadcast throughout your home, or you can have each unit as a standalone device.
I realize the price is higher than units with fewer options, but the sound quality is really great. You really need to check one of these out at your closet store.
Enjoy!

Upgrade your home theater system with this Polk Audio Signa sound bar. The Voice Adjust feature separates speech from background noise for clear dialogue, and Dolby digital decoding provides virtual surround sound for a cinema-quality entertainment experience. This Polk Audio Signa sound bar is 2 inches tall to increase placement options and includes a wireless subwoofer for powerful bass.

Can this soundbar be mounted to the TV? My tv is mounded to a pivoting wall mount.

The Polk speaker bar has two keyhole type mounting spots on the rear spaced at approx 22 ⅝".

If the wall mount extends below your TV, you may be able to mount the bar under the tv. The bar is about 2" high. Depending on spacing of the mount, you may have to attach a piece of wood or similar material to the mount first, to facilitate attaching the bar securely.

Hope that helps.

music access

will I be able to access music stored on my computers hard drive?
You SHOULD. I say that cautiously because you didn't advise your setup.

If you download the BOSE SOUNDTOUCH app to your computer, there is a provision for adding a music service. A lot of them are listed and would include iTunes (if that is what you use). There is also a provision for adding a NAS (networked attached storeage) drive, but I personally have not explored that.

A quick call to the GEEK SQUAD or perhaps BOSE would probably get your question answered for sure.

Can I play a cd on this?

None of the Soundtouch units (10,20 or 30) have a built in CD player. If you have a stand alone CD player, it may be able to be connected to the AUX input of the Soundtouch.

Or, If you have your CD music ripped to the music app on your smartphone (example: iTunes), you can connect your smartphone via Bluetooth and play your music selections from your phone through the Soundtouch.

Is there a cable that can connect the Bose to iPhone

I have already purchased the 20 Series 111 :The sound is great; nice to have internet radio and preset stations BUT I do not like that I cannot connect my iPhone directly to the speaker. While the Bose has a USB cable slot the only thing I can do with it is charge my iPhone; the Aux will not play using an Apple cable.
The instructions indicate that you can connect an audio device by using a stereo cable with a 3.5mm plug. Have not seen any that would work with the apple lightning connection.
Is there a cable that can work with the iPhone and the SoundTouch 20 Series 111?
Depending on the age of your iPhone, you should be able to connect to the Soundtouch using Bluetooth.

I have a 6S+ that I link to the my Soundtouch 30 Series III via Bluetooth. It allows me to play iTunes, Amazon music, etc right from the phone. NO cables needed.

The artist and song info are displayed on the 30's display.

You can control volume and track changing with your phone OR using the Bose remote. Both worked fine for me.

How many CD's can you play?

The Soundtouch Series III does not have a CD player built into the unit.

If you have ripped your CDs into any of the music services offered, such as iTunes, you can link your entire iTunes library through the desktop app and enjoy your songs that way or connect your smartphone to the Soundtouch via Bluetooth and play the phone's music library that way.

Can I control the volume and bass

Can I control the volume and bass?
You can the volume via the included remote control.

If you download the Bose Soundtouch app for either your computer, smartphone or tablet, you can also control the volume along with the bass. The bass setting is under the 'settings' menu.
