It has been more than 10 years since this album was released, which has given us, the audience, time to reflect how we view this album. This album, to me, is not only a classic West Coast Gangster Rap album, but a classic Hip Hop album in general. The Game really came out of the gate roaring with this album, like Snoop with "Doggystlye" or Kanye West with "The College Dropout", in the sense that this album feels like it was from someone that is a veteran and a well-rounded artist; rather than an artist that shows potential in their first album, but is still green and needs a lot of growing to do. The subject matter of this album is mostly about Game's life experiences from his childhood to now being a rising star in the Hip Hop world. The lyrics feel authentic and never forced. Game doesn't come off as flashy or ostentatious, but, rather, an individual just telling their story and you, the audience, can take it how you want. Many of the songs invoke emotional responses, like "Hate It or Love It" or "Dreams"; and have uplifting messages rooted in them. Another thing that is great about the album is that there is a substantial amount of content, being that there are 18 tracks. Last, unlike many albums where only 1-3 tracks are good and the rest are just terrible filler to make an album, most of the 18 tracks are great and are worthy of an audience. So, is this album worth a purchase and being apart of your music collection? Yes. This is a must buy for any Hip Hop fan.
I don't need to say anything about the film, because it is a classic and most of you have seen it before. I will speak on the 3D. The depth is reasonably convincing. There are moments where foreground objects have a nice pop and contribute to a nice 3D experience without ever feeling gimmicky. Almost all of the grain is gone, which was present with some previous HD transfers of the film. Overall, is the 3D worth another purchase of this film, since many people probably have it on blu-ray or DVD? Yes. It adds to the viewing experience and makes it feel more immersive. People that are new to 3D and exploring to buy some films to fill their 3D library should pick this up.

This film was a good film, but my main problem is that it should have been outstanding with the given source material it came from about Louis Zamperini's incredible life. The man's journey is incredible and I just felt like this film didn't fully showcase how incredible it was. I don't want to harp on Angelina Jolie, but this is the type of story and film that should have won best picture at the Academy Awards. Maybe if Spielberg directed it and was the leader on set this film could have been an all-time great film, but it just ended up being good but not memorable. The cinematography was good. The acting was good. I would recommend this movie to anyone, because it is not overly violent with cursing like some war films, so the young ones can watch it. It is a good inspirational film for anyone that needs motivation and inspiration, but, again, it could have been so much better and could have been an iconic film given the source material.
Steelbook Case: I really like the front cover, but unfortunately their is no artwork on the back cover and it is just white. The interior artwork is pretty bland. In terms of rating this steelbook for collectors, I would give it a 5 out of 10 because it looks bland and is not very beautiful like other steelbooks.
Included: Blu-ray, DVD, digital copy (Itunes, Windows Media), and ultraviolet copy (Vudu, CinemaNow, etc)
