To me this is the very best version of Dickens classic tale. Funny but touching and Michael Caine does a great job as Scrooge. Your kids will love this version and not be too scared to watch it (adult kids too!).

This disc captures laid-back seventies singer/songwriter Dan Fogelberg in concert. The DVD offers a standard full-frame transfer. English soundtracks are rendered in Dolby Digital Stereo and PCM Stereo. English subtitles are accessible. Supplemental materials include a biography and discography of the man. This is a fine disc for fans of the performer. Songs heard during the show include "Leader of the Band", "The Power of Gold", "There's a Place in the World for a Gambler", and over a dozen others.
Fans of musicals will treasure director Alan Parker's lavish, Academy Award-winning account of Eva Peron's struggle to rise from poverty to one of the most recognized figures in Argentinean history, arriving on DVD by Disney Home Video. Presented in the original widescreen theatrical aspect ratio of 2.35:1, this disc also features a lush closed-captioned English Dolby Digital audio track with optional Spanish subtitles that will bring the magic of this moving musical into one's home as never before. Madonna and Antonio Banderasstar.
Not a Madonna fan but she does well but Antonio Banderas is excellent as Che! Great visuals and impressive crowd scenes. Actually made in Argentina on the actual locations!

What's great about it: Music and Antonio are excellent!
In this concert performance captured live in September of 2005, a fifteen piece orchestra joins singer Carly Simon as she takes to the water in the Queen Mary II to offer a variety of vintage 1940s tunes as well as a few of her greatest hits. Songs performed by Carly and company in this three-act concert include "How Long Has This Been Going On", "Anticipation", "Nobody Does it Better", and "I Only Have Eyes for You".
A very good concert version of Jesus Christ Superstar with good performances and excellent music! This is nice updated version and a great addition to any musical or music video or Superstar fans video library.
A group of aimless misfits realize their calling on the soccer field in this endearing comedy from Disney DVD. Presented in 1.85:1 widescreen and offering audio rendered in closed-captioned English Dolby Digital Surround, this otherwise bare-bones disc also offers an alternate French-language audio mix in addition to optional Spanish subtitles.
The Big Green is a nice family film about a bunch of kid's growing up in Texas in a very poor town. The new teacher and the local sherriff coach the kids in a newly formed soccer team. It is a fun film and my 7 year old soccer playing grand-daughter loved it!
Andrew V. McLaglen's The Undefeated (1969), starring John Wayne, was released on laserdisc in letterboxed form in the early 1990's, in an edition that looked very good -- the 2003 Fox DVD isn't a huge jump up in quality, though it does cost about half as much as the laser ever did. It was photographed by William H. Clothier, who also shot Chisum (directed by McLaglen and starring Wayne) within the same year -- the two movies were released on DVD about a week apart in 2003, and look about the same; both are in Panavision and letterboxed to a 2.35-to-1 aspect ratio. The DVD looks about as this reviewer remembers The Undefeated from two theatrical screenings in 1969, though Chisum may have a slight edge on disc in the sharpness of its transfer. Fox has done reasonably well by The Undefeated, with 28 chapters covering its 119 minutes, which encompass enough plot twists to make more than one viewing a necessity. The original trailer appears in its English, Spanish, and Portuguese versions, and is accompanied by the trailers for North To Alaska and The Comancheros -- there are also optional French and Spanish audio tracks for the movie and English captions and Spanish subtitles as well, all accessible in a triple-layer menu that's easy to maneuver around. One does wish that Fox had gotten McLaglen to provide a commentary track here the way that Warner Home Video did with Chisum, but the whole package is still a good value as a mid-price DVD.
This movie features two of Hollywoods biggest stars ever, John Wayne and Rock Hudson! A good action film in which former Civil War enemies must pull together to survive. I saw this a long time ago as a kid and was very glad to be able to purchase this fine film.
