I was a fan of the books as a kid. The cartoon is a lot different, but still sort of fun. Episodes are roughly 11 minutes each, so with 20 episodes on the set, it's a quick watch. A bit dark for very young kids, but I think younger teens would enjoy the humor.
From the Marvel Universe come the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., ready to defend the citizens of the world. In the aftermath of the battle between invading aliens and the Earth's mightiest heroes, the Avengers, the special law-enforcement agency S.H.I.E.L.D. begins to intensively recruit new agents to investigate bizarre events and superhuman sightings. Led by Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), this mismatched team of super spies, geeky scientists, sneaky con artists and regular Joes with extraordinary gifts will have to come together as the first line of defense against the evil forces who seek to corrupt and destroy.
Slow moving through much of the season, but really picks up at about episode 16. At this point, "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" came out, and the events on the show could proceed. Episodes 17 and on continue with the threads from the movie.
It's not a bad series, but considering how great Marvel's cinematic universe is, I'd expect more. Not a bad set when it's on sale.
This release includes all 24 episodes of the brainy sitcom The Big Bang Theory, following the romantic and practical misadventures of two genius physicists, who are at the top of their fields in science, but at the bottom of the totem in playing the field. The two continually attempt to bring their social skills into par with their laboratory skills, and living across the hall from a charming blonde actress gives them plenty of motivation.

I wasn't a fan of the show at first, didn't watch it at all the first season. But after seeing that season on DVD, I was hooked. I'm still laughing with the latest season. The "Star Wars Day" episode was a season highlight--and the featurette on that episode is quite good, too!
This explosive release from the superhero series Arrow includes all 23 episodes of the show's second season, following the story of a hooded vigilante who finds himself at odds with some of the biggest and most deeply rooted criminal organizations in Starling City.

I've never been a Green Arrow fan, but this show has changed that. Season 1 had me hooked within the first five minutes of the pilot, and season 2 continued the momentum. The Deathstroke storyline was great, and the introduction of Barry Allen to spin off into "The Flash" was a highlight of the season. Great show!
