This is one of the most uninhibited movies I have ever seen - in a good way. Famous director Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man) creates a movie much like its main character (Nicholas Cage) in that it is exciting, intriguing, hilarious, strange, and totally care free. Its far from perfect, but that's what makes it so great - the humor is raw and Nicholas Cage plays a character you've never seen before that's never been perfected or cliched. There are moments in this movie that are too good to miss. It's an eccentric film, but still retains a linear narrative and story structure. If you're a person who enjoys traditional, unchanging things, this might not be for you - but if you like a little uncertainty and adventure, there's plenty of it in Port of Call: New Orleans. "'Till the break of dawwwwwwn, baby!"
