Powerful and Affordable Robotic Vacuuming

This is an entry-level Roomba robotic vacuum. It will introduce you to the wonderful world of Roomba, without breaking the bank. Roomba is on the cutting edge of automated vacuuming, and this model provides some of the benefits of the more expensive Roombas at a lower price point.
The Roomba 694 is very good at it’s primary job, which is to save time by automating the vacuuming of your home. This model does that task extremely well. It is quite powerful, and does a great job of keeping my home clean. I was pleasantly surprised by how much dirt and particles it is able to suck up.
This Roomba is about as loud as a cordless hand vacuum. This is not surprising because suction is created by a motor that makes noise. The more powerful the suction, the louder the noise. My dog doesn't mind it much, but she keeps her distance.
Before putting it in use, it is necessary to clear obstacles and pick up loose items from its path. This is a robot vacuum not a jeep, so it can get stuck on things that get in its way.
I have a two story home and it was able to completely clean my whole home with one charge. I deploy it on the second story first and then move it to the first story, where I keep the docking station, so that when finished it automatically returns to the charger. The Cliff Detect feature works and stops it before it goes off of the edge of the stairs.
The App is easy to use and very functional. The Roomba and App connect via Wi-Fi, and make scheduling, controlling, and monitoring it very convenient. The App features a high degree of control and customization.
Everything needed to use it is included, as well as an extra filter.

Strong Gaming Performance

This is my first experience with a curved monitor, so I was excited to try it out. Does having a curved monitor improve my gaming experience? I would say yes, but the difference is very subtle and slight, and you must be sitting very close to the monitor to notice. That is the main reason curved TV’s did not catch on, they are not big enough and people sit too far away to actually notice a difference. For PC gaming I sit right on top of the action, so I found myself enjoying the difference a curved monitor makes. Since it replaced another monitor of a similar size that I am very familiar with, I was able to immediately notice the improved immersion. The main factor being that my eyes were able to more easily scan the left and right periphery of the screen.
The overall picture quality is excellent. The colors are rich and vibrant. The contrast is excellent and can produce very respectable black levels. Contrast ratio is in my opinion the most critical factor affecting picture quality, and this monitor does contrast well. This 1080P full HD panel is not perfect, but at this price range you will not find a better picture quality.
This monitor excels at rendering fast moving games. The high native refresh rate resulted in no noticeable flicker. I was also impressed by how fast the response time was. I would describe the response time to be, for all intents and purposes near instantaneous, with no noticeable lag.
This monitor is primarily designed for PC gaming, but I also tried it with my PS4 and it worked flawlessly. I normally prefer to play PS4 games on my large screen TV, but for those that like to play console games on a monitor, this panel works great for that as well.
Since it is common to use monitors for multiple applications, I also tested it by watching videos and browsing the internet to see how well it performed. Video playback was very easy on the eyes, and most people will not have a problem using it to play PC games as well as an everyday monitor.
It is not equipped with built in speakers, so external speakers or headphones are a must. This is not a problem because monitor speakers are usually too thin and small to produce satisfying sound. Using quality headsets or external speakers vastly improves the game playing experience.
This monitor is equipped with 2 HDMI inputs as well as a DisplayPort input. I am glad that Dell has moved away from VGA inputs, and included the more capable Display Port input, which is more widespread and useful than VGA. Included in the box is a DisplayPort cable.
Overall I am very impressed with this gaming monitor. How much the curved screen makes a difference will vary from person to person, but I am enjoying it and highly recommend it if you are in the market for a gaming monitor in this price range.

Since I am bald, I need a razor that excels at giving me a whole head shave. This style of razor does just that. I usually only shave my head 3 or 4 times a week, and with this razor I am easily able to shave my head and neck.
The rubberized grip makes it comfortable to hold and use. It shaves almost as close as a manual blade. This is important to me because I have stopped using a manual blade because I got tired of occasional cuts from them. This razor is also great for times when I am in a hurry and just need a quick clean up.
The pop up trimmer works well for creating clean lines at the edges of my beard.
The battery is rated to last for about 1 hour when fully charged. I have been using it 3-4 times a week and I didn’t have to recharge for about 3 weeks.
Included is a storage bag and cleaning accessories. I really like that it includes oil because that can make a difference in cutting performance if used.

Elegant and Powerful Compact Laptop

This device is an elegant and powerful compact laptop that has enough processing power and memory to easily handle any productivity and entertainment needs you can throw at it. The system startup and app response times are near instantaneous. The Intel Evo processor and 16 GB of system memory really makes a difference! If you need a powerful Windows PC, then this is the laptop for you.
Before I discuss this laptop in more detail, I want to address that the 4K UHD display creates a bright and beautiful image quality, but at the expense of battery life. I am averaging about 8 hours of total run time per charge. This is not a problem for me since I am rarely anywhere without a charger for more than a couple of hours. But if battery life is a priority, then consider an XPS-13 model with a FHD display, which will provide more hours of battery life.
The 4K UHD display is Dolby Vision capable, and it creates the best image quality I have seen on a laptop. The difference in image quality is truly night and day. The display features superb color and contrast and is rated at up to 500 nits.. I have begun experimenting with reducing the resolution to HD quality levels to see if it improves the battery run time. Not only does that seem to improve the battery life somewhat, but I also noticed no appreciable loss of image quality. This leads me to believe that the excellent image quality is due to the color and contrast capability of the display, rather than the resolution.

Dell really went out of the way to engineer this laptop with an emphasis on elevated build quality. The aluminum design makes it attractive, slim, and light. The first time I handled it, I was immediately impressed with how solid it feels and how easy it is to handle. Not only is this laptop beautiful to look at, but it is an absolute pleasure to use. The color, called Frost White, is white/silver hue.
This laptop is equipped with two Thunderbolt 4 capable USB-C ports. Both are data and charge capable. The power button also functions as a fingerprint scanner. It features the classic laptop design but this is not an issue for me because the only time I even consider using a 2 and 1 in a hybrid layout, is when I am traveling and even then I usually use the traditional laptop mode.
The touch screen and trackpad are very responsive and work well. The keyboard layout is spacious for a compact laptop, and comfortable to use. It is backlit and nicely illuminated.
This laptop is equipped with a Wi-Fi 6 (AX) wireless adapter. To get the maximum benefit from this latest standard, it must be used with a Wi-Fi 6 router. But Wi-Fi 6 adapters are backwards compatible with the previous wireless standard.
The stereo speakers produce sound that is typical for a compact laptop. When listening to music or videos, I use quality headphones. The 720P camera is also of average quality, but more than sufficient for basic video conferencing. The microphone array is of above average quality, and does a great job of capturing sounds.
Included in the box are: a 45 W USB-C power adapter, and a USB-A to USB-C adapter.

Superior Video and Sound Performance

The Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2 features a hybrid laptop/tablet design that is ultra slim, attractive, and a complete pleasure to use. It has more than enough processing power and system memory to easily handle any entertainment or productivity needs. It is an excellent choice for anyone that wants an elegant and powerful laptop that is controlled by the Chrome Operating System.
There is a lot to like about this laptop, but the first thing that I want to mention is the QLED screen, which is highly colorful, HD capable, and looks amazing! The bright, beautiful display offers superb picture quality, and is perfect for watching videos and viewing pictures. The QLED display produces noticeably vibrant colors that really make whatever you are looking at on the screen pop.
The next thing that really stands out is the sound quality. The laptop speakers produce sound that is exceptionally loud and crystal clear, which is truly remarkable for such a slim laptop. Normally I use headphones with my laptops, but in this case I had no problem hearing anything I played over the laptop speakers.
The battery charges fully in about 2 hours, and is rated to last for an impressive 12 hours. After using it for a few days, I have been actually getting close to 13 hours. But your mileage will vary depending on what you are doing. I was using it mostly to watch videos and access the internet. There is a USB C port on both sides of the laptop, so either side can be used to power it.
Setup was as simple as turning it on, and then signing on to my Wi-Fi network and Google account. If you already have a Google account then you will have immediate access to your saved Chrome favorites and Google Drive.
The 2 in 1 design allows this device to function as a laptop or a tablet. I mostly use the laptop mode, but sometimes use the tablet orientations for watching videos.
The keyboard is backlit and well laid out. The keys are well spaced and have a nice feel to them. Likewise the touch screen and touch pad are responsive and both respond well to the touch

Makes Doing Taxes Quick and Easy!

H&R Block makes doing my taxes quick and easy. Once I received all of my tax documents, I was able to complete and file my taxes in under an hour. I have used both H&R Block and TurboTax over the years, and in my experience H&R Block works just as well as TurboTax. So which one you use comes down to personal preference and cost.
After I received the email with activation code and download link, installation of the software was very simple. Before purchasing make sure that you select the right version, because there is a Mac version. This version only works with Windows.
The software could not be easier to use. All you do is answer the questions and the software does the rest. Since I used the program last year, I was able to carry over my data from last year. The program also has a function that scans PDF copies of W-2’s and previous year tax returns. The software can be used for up to 5 electronic filings (I only needed one). The e-filing code is the software activation code.
Because the software is downloaded, my data is securely stored on my computer. This will appeal to the security conscious, that do not want their sensitive information on the cloud.

Excellent Mid-Range Wireless Headphones

The market for quality wireless headphones has expanded massively in the last year, and competition has become fierce. Even though there are now many great choices out there, I would add the Skullcandy Hesh Evo wireless headphones to the list of contenders. They are a great choice for your average person that wants nice wireless headphones, but doesn’t want to spend more than about $100.
To be clear, I am rating these headphones based on how they perform and feel at this price point. Are there better feeling and sounding headphones out there? Yes of course, I have other headphones that cost much more, but I can not fairly compare them to ones that cost triple the price. These headphones are in the mid-range of the product line, and they sound excellent for that tier. I am very fond of mid-range headphones because I tend to be protective of my flagship headphones, and like to have something less expensive on hand for situations where I am worried about them getting lost or damaged. The folding design makes it very convenient to take them on the go.
These headphones have very good call and sound quality. The 40 mm drivers do a great job of producing detailed, full range sound, They are also very comfortable to wear, and feature an attractive deep and rich black hue. If you don’t need active noise cancellation, they are a good choice because the over the ear design naturally creates some noise cancellation passively.
The battery life is great and after using them for a few days, I would agree that the rated 36 hour battery life is accurate. They have a USB-C port for charging, and a 10 minute charge will power the headphones for about 3 hours. Like I said earlier, competition is fierce and this type of battery capability would have been off the charts a couple of years ago, but now is just par for the course.
Some other things I like is that they have actual control buttons and that there is an audio output for using them with non-wireless capable devices.
Included in the box is a soft travel pouch, a standard audio cable, and a USB-C charging cable.

Thermal Carafe Really Makes A Difference!

This GE appliance is the Coffee Maker that I did not know I needed, until I got it. I have been using it for about a week, and it has served me very well during the recent cold weather. The thermal carafe really makes a difference! It is nice to be able to have coffee stay nice and hot for many hours, without using the burner. Coffee Maker burners work well for the short term, but after a several hours they do what their name says, and leave coffee tasting burnt. Using a thermal coffee pot eliminates this problem. My coffee now stays warm and secure in the sealed thermal carafe. I am already picturing myself taking the whole pot out on the patio with me, and enjoying my morning coffee that will stay hot for as long as I need it to be. As others have commented the carafe is sealed, but this is what keeps the coffee hot. It also allows the carafe to be taken on the go without leaking.
If you are concerned that it is all looks, don’t be. The brewing performance of this GE Coffee Maker matches it’s premium high end look. So not only does it look great and effortlessly keeps coffee hot for many hours, but it most importantly makes great tasting coffee.
This coffee maker is great for the person that wants a maximum stainless steel look for their kitchen. It looks great and matches other stainless steel appliances perfectly. From the moment I took it out of the box, I immediately noticed how well built and solid it felt.
It could not be easier to use. Just put coffee in the reusable filter, and push a few buttons. The brewing modes are Regular and Bold. It has a programmable timer so you can have coffee ready whenever you want. It will automatically shut itself off after 2 hours.
The components are easy to take out and clean. Just wash, rinse, and dry and they are done. Included is a washable filter, but be aware the filter and carafe are not dishwasher safe and must be washed by hand.

Flawless Wireless Keyboard/Mouse Package

I am very impressed with the design and operation of this wireless keyboard and mouse package. I am able to instantly and reliably connect it to Windows or Chrome devices. I can not recommend this package highly enough, the performance and multi-device pairing is flawless. Do not be concerned about them being too compact, they make for an excellent primary mouse and keyboard.
The mouse is very comfortable to use and fits naturally in my hand. The optics are outstanding and makes for very precise tracking. The scroll wheel operation is smooth and controlled. The mouse is right hand oriented, so left handed users might have to make some adjustments to compensate.
I normally don’t prefer compact keyboards because they make too many compromises, but this keyboard is an exception. It strikes the perfect balance between function and size. It is very ergonomic, and the layout makes the buttons easy to reach and use. The keyboard is not backlit, but likely this is to maximize the battery life.
The 2 possible connection methods are wireless (1) or Bluetooth (2,and 3). Two different Bluetooth devices can be paired into memory for an instant connection via keyboard hotkeys. Whichever method is used, setup and use could not be easier.
For wireless (1), the first step is to pop the mouse cover off and remove the USB receiver and insert the included AA battery. Then insert the 2 included AA batteries into the keyboard by removing the cover on the underside. Then turn them both on by way of an on/off switch. Insert the USB receiver into your device If you are using the wireless connection (1 is the default connection). To use the USB receiver there must be an available USB-A port. Once the USB receiver is inserted, Plug and Play is initiated and the necessary driver is downloaded and configured. It only takes a few seconds before the keyboard and mouse are ready to use.
To use Bluetooth there are buttons on the top right hand corner of the keyboard that toggles between the connection choices (1,2,3). Then search for the Dell mouse or keyboard in your Bluetooth device list, and pair it. Once paired it will be permanently stored and easily selected via the keyboard hotkey. Using Bluetooth to connect does not interfere with the use of Bluetooth headphones or speakers at the same time. If Bluetooth is the primary connection method, then the USB receiver can be conveniently stored in the mouse until it is needed.
The AA batteries are rated to last 36 months. I have been using them extensively for the last week and the batteries are still showing as 100 percent, so I have no doubt that they will last as long as they are rated too.

Best Electric Razor I Have Ever Used

I have used many electric razors over the years, and this razor is by far the nicest one that I have ever used. After using it for a few days, I am very impressed with how well it works. It shaves as closely and comfortably as a manual razor. The three flexible blade heads glide perfectly over my face, and give me a perfect shave. There are cheaper razors out there, but if you want to treat yourself to the best shaving experience, then this electric razor is the one to get.
I prefer to shave in the shower because with shaving gel I get the closest and smoothest shave in the shower. Preparing my face by washing it with soap and warm water really makes a difference.
But it also works well if you are in a hurry and need to shave quickly before you go out the door. I have done this a few times and am very happy with the results.
I shave my whole head every couple of days, and this razor makes that safe and easy. Because I have cut the top off my head with manual razors, I no longer use them. With practice I am easily able to shave my head and neck with this razor.
The lithium-ion battery lasts for about 1 hour when fully charged. If the battery is depleted, a 5 minute charge will provide enough power for one quick shave. It takes about 1 hour to fully charge the battery from empty. I prefer lithium-ion batteries because they are reliable and can hold a charge a long time. This is important to me because I only shave 3 times a week and I like not being surprised by a dead battery. Since this is a wet/dry razor, it will not work when plugged in. This is a deliberate and sensible safety measure to prevent accidental electrocutions.
The LED control panel makes the razor very easy to operate. A 3 level indicator shows the battery charge level. It also has a precision trimmer that can be used to trim sideburns, mustaches, and beards. Included is a protective cap, a power cord, Quick Clean Pod, and a nice soft storage bag. It is very nicely packaged in a box that makes an excellent present.
The Quick Clean Pod comes with one pod that is rated to last up to 3 months, depending on the use. I have not used it for that long, but expect to get the full 3 months out of it since I do not shave every day. This system works quite well, and I will likely get more pods when I need them. I make sure to clean the razor using the Quick Clean Pod, or rinsing it under water, after every shave because a clean razor works much better.

Replaced an old SXRD Sony 60" from 8 years ago. Tried the 65" 930 model and that picture was good however not like the 940D. Full array backlighting makes a big difference. First one upon delivery had a line all along the right side of the screen and a horizontal line about 6 inches up from the bottom of the screen. Magnolia came out a few days later with a replacement and this one is much better. Remote control is not user friendly, poor design, Arc audio does not work with my 2 year old Yamaha receiver so must use separate fibre optic cable to allow audio to services. Sony 3D nothing like the Samsung. 4 free movies promotion was difficult to set up and must supply credit card info to get promo and only 8 titles to choose from. I wish they would have included the 3D glasses instead of free movies with a $6500 TV. Overall happy with the purchase and would recommend as a great home theater TV with lots of smart features.

Are you using a cable box? Cable and satellite boxes are notorious for breaking ARC. When I disconnected the cable box HDMI cable from the chain, ARC started working. I am going to get a HDMI "CEC less adapter" and connect it to the cable box which should fix the problem.

No the left earbud cannot be used independently of the right earbud. The right earbud is the primary and the left is secondary.
Essentially the right earbud is paired to your device and the left earbud can only be paired to the right earbud.

Where can I go to try these headphones on. I don’t want to pay 350$ for something that doesn’t fit or for something that may not be worth my money.
