its just a basic "rabbit ear" antenna, works for most of the channels, sometimes you have to adjust the antenna to pick up the digital signal but its cheap and works for strong digital signals. if you want something that works for all channels without having to adjust then spend a little more and get an higher quality antenna from Sony or Samsung or if you are a homeowner or your apartment allows for outdoor antennas that is the best option for you to receive all of the basic TV channels available in your area. Remember homeowners are federally protected in having outdoor antennas, no subdivision/home owners association can prohibit someone from attaching a digital antenna to their house or on their property. Call the FCC if you are being harassed or fined regarding that.

excellent picture quality

I did a lot of research on this TV, I really like Samsung products I believe they make a quality product that lasts. This TV is light weight, easy to set up and easy to use. Picture quality is excellent for the size and being a 1080p. it was an open box item so the price was significantly cheaper than the original price but I could find no indication of it being used or any scuffs or damage of any kind. it was listed as "open box excellent" and Best Buy doesnt lie about their open box descriptions either! literally the only thing wrong with it was the original box was damaged so thats why it was listed as "open box- excellent" and had a Geek Squad seal of approval. But just to be safe i spent the extra $35 on the 2 year protection plan. so if anything goes wrong with it best buy will fix or replace the TV.

I was happy to see that my "open box" item (which was a Samsung 40" LED tcv) was eligible for best buy protection and was decently priced as well. So now I have that added level of comfort in knowing that if anything goes wrong with my TV Best Buy will fix or replace it... its always worth it especially when purchasing an open box item

Can you hook-up a UBS in with cable to get nextus on it

it has 2 HDMI ports and 1 USB Port, I have a chrome cast hooked up to mine and it works perfectly

Ideal Picture and Sound Settings

I've been searching and cannot find any advice on the ideal,picture settings for this model. Does anyone have?

Using this as a bedroom TV, mostly viewed at night in a dark room if this helps.

most broadcasts are now in 16:9 anymore and I would recommend using either the "movie" picture mode if you are watching it at night by pressing the "tools" key on your remote. The dynamic setting will give you a much brighter screen and if you are watching in a dark room it may make the black shades look a little different plus it will probably hurt your eyes having that so bright while you are in bed watching TV!

Can you hook up at 321 bose system to the Tv

yes there are audio inputs in the back including a digital audio jack, the tv itself has a very good sound quality for the size of the tv and speakers as it is but I would imagine you would have no issues hooking up any modern home theater system to it

How do you make the picture fit the screen?

use the "pic size" button on the remote, you can also adjust the picture size in the menu

can you hook a vcr or dvd onto it or video camera

yes with the proper connections you can, it has standard audio/video input jacks in the back as well as HDMI slots and a USB slot.
