Can't Use With MacBook Pro

Purchased this external CD/DVD drive specifically to be used with my MacBook Pro. It can not be directly plugged into the MacBook Pro. Therefore, I plugged it into the hyperdrive that is plugged into my MacBook Pro, but received a message saying it needed to be powered. Took it to the Geek Squad and they tried their own adaptor first and then another CD/DVD external drive and it would not work with anything. Had to return it.

Quiet Dishwasher Does the Trick

This dishwasher is VERY QUIET, which is wonderful. I like that you can fold down some of the lower rack to fit a big item in better and that the top rack can be raised/lowered for the same reason. It does a great job of cleaning the dishes. The control panel on the front is extremely sensitive, so after the dishwasher is finished running, I use the "control lock" option so that I don't accidently "push" some buttons by touching or brushing up against the control panel. This feature is also extremely helpful when our youngest grandchild comes over, who likes to push buttons. Overall, I am extremely pleased with this dishwasher!

After reviewing a lot of top-loading washers, I was so skeptical about the high efficiency washers (less detergent, HE detergent only, and less water...how could that get my clothes clean?). The sales rep at Best Buy explained that most detergents now are for HE washers (relief!) and that he had one and it really does get the clothes clean. The price for this LG washer was right (on sale) and it had the features I was looking for. I am soooo happy with this washer! It really does get the clothes clean and depending on the cycle used, you can override certain default features (e.g. you can add water, increase the spin speed, etc.) It is quiet, easy to use, and has a large capacity. The only drawback is that the tub is pretty deep so sometimes it is hard to reach the clothes to get them out (I am only 5' 4"), and yet, I am glad I bought this washer. So far, I love it!

We really like this Samsung 50" TV. The picture and color are outstanding and it is easy to use. The only drawback is that it only has 2 HDMI ports and are old TV had 3. So we bought an HDMI "outlet" to use with it, which has 4 HDMI ports, so everything has a port and it works just fine!

Thinking of getting this washing machine. My last top load of this type got a musty smell over time that I could not get rid of even by keeping the lid open when not in use and running loads of vinegar and baking soda as was recommended by manufacturer
I have only had this washer for a few weeks (love it), so I haven't experienced any musty smell. However, in reading the manual, LG suggests that you run a clean cycle (special selection on machine) once a month with bleach. I plan on doing that on the first of every month. I assume that will take care of any problems of mustiness. Time will tell.
