Not what I expected at all

After months of research I finally bit the bullet and bought the Moto X Pure edition only to be slightly impressed... I'll explain why.
I'm coming from a OnePlus One... The phone is about 2.5 years old now (I've owned mine for 1 year) & as you may or may not know, it is HIGHLY CUSTOMIZABLE. Not in appearance like the Moto X but in software. Everything can be set to YOUR liking. This isn't the case with stock Android. Now if I was coming from an LG or HTC the I would have been happy... But not coming from OnePlus One running Cyanogen OS.
The Camera and the Front Facing Speakers far surpass those on the oneplus... But that's about it. There are so many other features I took for granted on my OPO in performing Task that would take a step or 2,that now take 5 to 6 steps on the MX...
At the end of the day what surprised me the most was how much SLOWER the Moto X was than the oneplus one despite having a faster more advanced CPU. In the end I returned it for those reasons and also call quality constantly dropped or faded in and out which Motorola said could be an issue with the unit itself. I'm sticking with OnePlus from here on out.

I bought a pair of these, and my only complaint was that I lost signal when my ipod was in my pocket. I need to have it in my pocket most of the time. Did any of you have this issue, or did I have a lemon pair and should try them again?
Same thing happened to me a few times. IDK what you have to do to fix that but it shouldn't happen in the first place. The Tech just isn't ready yet in my opinion.
