Enjoyable game for the patient

I rented this game for an evening and spent the better part of it playing with and against my 11-year-old daughter. Once she was in bed, I played through the story mode, finishing it up in about six hours. I played online for about an hour.
Couch co-op was fantastic. The story was enjoyable and had some great additions to the Star Wars universe.
Online play on the other hand... I tried one space battle and one ground skirmish, which was fun save for those players that have put so much time into getting high-end character (vehicle) unlocks that were virtually invincible. It was also very disorienting as I was thrust into the middle of a battle without any idea of the objectives or score.
I'm sure with some patience and more practice/time with online multiplayer that it'll become more enjoyable. In the interim, I'll continue to enjoy the couch co-op with my kids.

I don't know what I expected. My kids enjoy the Angry Birds games and the animated shorts so I thought this would be a winner too. Twenty minutes in, my kids turned it off and asked to watch something else. This is too shallow and too crass to sit through, including dialogue such as "Pluck my life." and a running joke about a bird urinating in a pond. Very poor indeed.

Great Family-Friendly Piece

The Boy and the Beast is the Jungle Book-inspired story of a boy that ends up training to fight in the hidden world of beasts. It's heartwarming. PG-13 for mild language and some violence (one scene involves a stabbing, which I believe required the -13 rating). After viewing the movie, I had no problem showing this to my 10-year-old.
