I do not think this unit comes with the accordion style sides, please advise what to purchase to fill the gap between the unit and the window.
It does come with the spacers (according style sides).

Does this unit also work as a fan ?
It has a fan setting, which does not run the compressor. I'm not sure how effective that would really be. The unit is not that large, but it would provide some air circulation.
