FF - Some Story

I liked Final Fantasy XII a lot back when it came out on PS2 but I felt the story and the music were not as good as past games and the game was very grind heavy. There isn't enough story between these characters and the story is mostly uninteresting politics which feels distant from you because large parts of the story, your role is basically to be sent from place to place and not much happens during. This remaster has a new job system which basically just limits you. It has you make important job choices early on and doesn't allow you to change them once you have a better grasp of them and it doesn't really add to the game only limits it. You could claim it makes the game harder but I found this remaster overall much easier. What's worse is the game doesn't give you the option for the original system. The game slightly improves on the original games graphics and music and the speed up function improves on the grinding aspect to the game but also make it very easy to over level and become way too easy. I find it extremely pathetic when a developer makes a remaster worse than the original. My mind fails to comprehend such a high level of incompetence. When I play this again, i will be back with the PS2 version as I hate the new job system.

Are you desperate for more realistic shadows and overall better looking aesthetics and a roster update? If yes then you can probably be forgiven for shelling out 60 for the game. I'll preface by stating I've never been an online player in any way, so this could definitely void the review for some which is understandable. Now on to my review of Single player career...it's the same, almost literally the same. I don't care about MUT. I don't care about your ham handed soap opera. I want to move a team and design every aspect of the move I want to design a stadium. I want chemistry to effect team play. The draft is still good but you nailed that last year. We do this song and dance every year. Little by little you add features that were in previous seasons iterations and by the end of a console's life cycle it's a fully fleshed out game. Meanwhile, on the new console it's like a demo offered at full price with slightly better graphics. I've bought the last 3 copies of Madden consecutively and I'm going to have to take pause before I buy another, some changes need to be addressed with Career Mode because it's becoming fairly stagnant at this point.

Unlike it's predecessors, The Lost Legacy didn't impact me much in any way. The game play remains the same and the graphics are great as usual, but the lack of improvement or innovation in this spin-off from previous installments doesn't give it much identity of its own. It was only in development for one year, and the final product reflects that. With all that being said though, $40 is still a good deal for an 8 hour long single-player adventure along with multiplayer and survival modes.

It dose not come up high enough to cover the edges. So if you get this case you must also get the insurance because if you drop it there is really no protection. I know from experience.
