GREAT SHOW! GREAT SET!
on June 2, 2017

Buck Rogers looks great on blu ray, cool set, beautiful women, great costumes, and the company that issued it didn't disable any functions on your blu ray player, such as zoom, A-B repeat (which most studios disable with restrictions on disc, so player functions won't work) and no chapter/time pops up on the screen to block the image when you pause/still. So get a closer look at Erin Gray's beautiful eyes, or the cool matte paintings, or the creature make up... Great set!

Xena goes to India
on June 11, 2016

The fourth season of Xena, she and Gabrielle journey to India, and Gabrielle has a spiritual epiphany. The episode "The Way" is presented in its revised form, the original was edited and bookends with disclaimers after some Hindu groups found elements in the original offensive.

Picking up where season five of Xena: Warrior Princess left off, season six begins with Xena (Lucy Lawless) handily defeating the combined forces of the Olympian Gods, who had hoped to forestall their prophesied demise by killing both Xena and her reformed warrior-princess daughter, Eve (Adrienne Wilkinson). The end of Olympia left but a few survivors, among them Xena's old nemesis Ares (Kevin Smith), the God of War -- now rather comically reduced to pathetic mortal-hood. Together with her traveling companion, Gabrielle (Renee O'Connor), and the ladies' new cohort, Virgil (William Gregory Lee), the son of their late friend Joxer, Xena embarks upon a whole new series of globetrotting adventures, taking her to Africa and to the Land of Norse, where she finds herself smack-dab in a Wagnerian "Ring Cycle" (mostly of her own making). Xena also does her best to avoid the prognostications of the Heavens Above that she is next in line to the Throne of Hell upon the "retirement" of reigning demon Mephistopheles. Occasionally digressing from the standard Xena format, a handful of episodes were set in the Present -- that is, the 21st century A.D. One of these was a satirical spoof of the old radio and TV series You Are There, while others dealt with the misadventures of Xena's contemporary fans and the familiar cast members' modern-day, lookalike descendants. The season ends with a two-parter set in faraway Japan, where Xena is voluntarily slain so that she may do battle in the Afterlife with the ghost of a malevolent samurai. Gabrielle's efforts to revive Xena, so often so successful in the past, come a cropper this time, and it looks as though Xena: Warrior Princess is definitely, permanently over and done with. However, hope is held out that a sequel or a spin-off may still be in the works, so stay tuned.

Great season, worst menu ever!

Season six finally released, but the menu only has symbols, no words, and takes a few moments to decipher what symbol means what function. The cheapest, worst menu I've ever seen, even worse than Warner Brothers. The season finale is presented in 2 part format, in case anyone is wondering.

The wonderful classic Samson & Delilah is beautifully presented on a very reasonably priced blu-ray disc. Don't hesitate to pick this one up.

This release from the fantasy series Xena: Warrior Princess features all 22 episodes of the show's fifth season, following the beautiful and deadly Xena, who travels the roads of ancient Greece fighting for the forces of good, with the help of her diligent and trustworthy friend Gabrielle.

Xena has a baby

Season Five is the season where Lucy Lawless was pregnant & therefore written into the story line. For me, this is where Xena jumped the shark & started going down hill, but still had some good episodes. Mediocre Xena is better than no Xena. Plus the new releases have a play all feature, the original releases didn't. So definitely recommended.

The absolutely beautiful Joyce Dewitt's favorite episodes of Three's Company, the episodes where Janet was allowed to really shine. Great compilation that highlights my favorite of the female roommates. Love the cover photo as well!

Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul star as detectives Starsky and Hutch, who became known throughout the law enforcement community for their unorthodox approach to catching crooks, as well as their trademark Gran Torino and the constant flow of snarky banter between the two of them.

Great show, less than great quality

Mill creek offers a great show at a very low price, with little quality control. Episodes are too compressed, still the syndicated edits, & the sound is terrible. Stick to the Sony releases, although edited as well, the quality is better.

Visually impressive film, great 3D, opens strong, but film falls apart in second half. Stick with Chuck Heston & The Ten Commandments.

This is the best of the "every man" super hero movies. A hilarious dark comedy that merits multiple viewings.

The Three Stooges in Color
on March 27, 2014
Posted by: HomeyJ
from Los Angeles
It is very interesting to see the Three Stooges in color in these public domain shorts, and the colorization is really good. However the unfunny hosts make some comments that are inappropriate for younger viewers and in one of the episodes, their comments run over the end credits (of the color version) ruining the short. I would recommend it to a friend for the novelty of seeing the stooges in color, but not for children. Too bad the shorts alone weren't released.

What's great about it: Colorizing Technology has come a long way.
What's not so great: Unfunny hosts' dialog overlaps in one episode

Made for television version of Pelham
By HomeyJ from Los Angeles
I am a big fan of the 1973 film version of The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3, but before the John Travolta/Denzel Washington remake, there was this made for television gem starring Edward James Olmos and Vincent D'Onofrio. I am ecstatic it has finally been released, available for the first time on dvd, paired with the John Voight/ Eric Roberts classic Runaway Train, both for a great low price. 2 great train films filled with action and suspense, highly recommended.

One disc not Two

Forgot to add that although the listing says 2 discs, both films are on the same side on 1 disc.
