New American Classic will always be one of my all-time favorite songs by Taking Back Sunday. This album may not have all the classics like Tell All Your Friends, but this has some killer lyrics and melodies that still shine and make this album to get.

The Not So Quiet Things...

If you look at the various Brand New albums, you know that there is a wide spectrum of sounds that they have. As much as I can appreciate the other albums, Jesse's voice is so powerful in this album and I just can't get enough of it. While Daisy may be "screamier", Jesse shines in this album as he pushes his range higher and uses volume to express his emotions.

For the Metallica fans...

Knowing that Sum 41 began as a Metallica cover band, you can really hear the influences in this album. Guitar solos often make me forget that I'm listening to Sum 41 and not Metallica. While the hard songs are always something fun to scream along with, Deryck's voice powers through some of the softer songs of Some Say and Slipping Away.
This may just be the best Sum 41 album they've ever released.

Just the right amount of angst

I will never grow out of needing to hear some angsty music. Tiny Moving Parts has a unique, but yet familiar enough sound. The various influences of their music shine through, which break down the barriers to reveal their unique experiences which they bring to the table in their lyrics.
The first words of the CD, "Nothing's ever good enough", can resonate deep into anyone's life who feels pressure from a parent, boss, spouse, or friend. You give and give and it still seems like nothing will ever be good enough.
This album is the perfect escape, while still opening up the idea that someone else may feel the same things you do.
