When washing is completed why is residue from the dirty dishes left in the bottom of the dishwasher
U may have a draining type issue where not all the water/food waste is getting pumped out or u could b using a too sudsy dishwasher detergent/soap that can leave behind soapy residue. After the cycle if u keep noticing it run a quick rinse n that might take care of it afterwards

It has temperature turn dial settings, as pictured, low, medium, high. May need to look into the digital models for anything automatic

Can you cook on the stove top with the crockpot insert?
Do not believe they are made for that purpose. Try calling Crock-pot customer service for product care and safety use
