Superb Movie About A Tragic Piece of US History

The steelbook edition of 13 Hours is really rather nice. It has excellent artwork on it and the build quality is great as well. The blu ray's video and audio quality is fantastic and the selection of bonus features/behind-the-scenes is nice as well.
Here's a breakdown of the special features.
- "For the Record: Finding the Truth Amid the Noise" (1080p, 8:02): A short yet fascinating look at the real history leading up to the events of September 11 and 12 in Libya, the administration's claim that the situation evolved in response to an Internet video and the political firestorm that followed, the book written in the aftermath, Michael Bay's passion for the project, and the survivors' input into the movie.
- "For the Record: Finding the Truth Amid the Noise" (1080p, 8:02): A short yet fascinating look at the real history leading up to the events of September 11 and 12 in Libya, the administration's claim that the situation evolved in response to an Internet video and the political firestorm that followed, the book written in the aftermath, Michael Bay's passion for the project, and the survivors' input into the movie.

- "Preparing for Battle: Behind the Scenes of 13 Hours" (26:24): Michael Bay's work behind the camera, intensity on the set, the picture's look and tone, technical details behind the shoot, ensuring realism in the film, actor training, shooting in Malta, crafting key action scenes, and the movie's purpose.
- "Operation: 13 Hours Premiere" (3:00): Inside the movie's premiere at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
- "In Memoriam" (2:58): Amazing Grace plays atop photos of the deceased.
The movie itself is very well put together and, given the nature of the story and the politics surrounding it it was (surprisingly given Michael Bay's directorial "finesse "), quite competently executed.
If you like the action, historical, or drama genres, pick this up. It's a story that needed to be told and heard and it's well worth it.

Great Little Lens

This is a fantastic lens. I've had it for a couple of months now and I've been thoroughly pleased with it. The build quality is superb and the image quality is quite top notch, nice and sharp. The low-profile makes it great for carrying around and pulling out for fast shots. I've been using this lens primarily for video projects but have been taking loads of pictures as well.
My only con is the the manual focusing on it; it's a "focus by wire" which has a light lag to it, I'd prefer a mechanical focus but it's not been a deal-breaker for me.
I really love how this lens performs and wholly recommend picking it up.

Beautiful Looking, But Flawed

For another entry in the Pixar catalog The Good Dinosaur this isn't one of their stronger titles. I found the story and character design to be very mediocre, especially contrasted against the beautiful and lush landscapes. I've never seen a more striking use of cgi; everything about it is incredibly gorgeous and that alone makes this movie worth picking up.
The blu ray captures the detail of the hyper-realistic world with perfection, the audio is fantastic, and the selection of special features is light but nice.

Bridge of Spies is a fantastic film that gave a lot of insight to the story surrounding Gary Powers and Spielberg and Hanks execute the film flawlessly and give it the depth and breadth the story called for.
The picture and audio quality are fantastic and the it has a nice selection of bonus features. If you're a fan of Spielberg, Hanks, or historical dramas/thrillers give this a shot.
