Can this device be connected to a 1990's Receiver for surround sound?
I have a 1990 Receiver that the HDTV is connected to and I know that the Blu-Ray player connects to the HDTV via HDMI connectors but how can I connect the three devices up to get the surround sound I want?
ONLY IF YOU CAN FIND AN ADAPTER FOR THE WIRES TO CABLE.

Is the remote wireless, or must the remote and player be within line-of-sight?
I would like to position the player behind the tv, and be able to operate it without direct line-of-sight.
I WILL AIM MY REMOTE AT THE WALL AT TIMES AND IT WORKS.
