Whenever Boney James a new CD, you know you are in for a treat. However, "Futuresoul" exceeded my expectations and then some. I went from thinking Wow, this is truly amazing to becoming completely speechless and mesmerized about halfway through the CD. "Fortuneteller" is the song that did it for me... something about the tones and the way he plays the sax in that song is truly genius! And of course, I can't forget to mention "Far From Home" Marquis Hill on trumpet... talk about an amazing to wrap up the CD!!!! Boney is one of those rare musicians that has been truly gifted since his first CD "Trust" was released in 1992. With each CD since, he just continue to excel at his craft, if that's even possible. This entire CD is truly some of his best work in my opinion. You will not be disappointed with any of the songs. Boney James is awesomeness at its best. Congrats to Boney for knocking it out of the park with the release of "Futuresoul".
This lady has managed to keep herself relevant after 6 albums. That alone is much to be applaused. Ciara seems to transform with each new project- some bad some good, but I think she has finally reached her peak and this is her best effort yet. Jackie is a step in the right direction and this offering is most definitely more mature wit a lot of sass. the entire CD is enjoyable from the first track to the last and I am rooting for her to have more success with this new musical journey. Standouts for me are Jackie B.M.F., Dance like we're making love, I Bet and I Got You. After listening to this album it leaves me with the exceptation of more good music to come in the future. Ciara has taken a beating, being criticized for her music to her relationship, but her new album album proves you can't keep a good woman down.
Estelle truly delivers a gem of a grown & sexy lp and she undeterred and unabashed in speaking frankly in her lyrics Highly recommend true romance. I am loving this True Romance album from Estelle. Single ladies get it! It's definitely a good buy. Very realistic to women between relationships. Also, "Make Her Say" will definitely be your jam and maybe get you into trouble. Lol
The boys are back. I've been a fan of JE since day one. I have all their albums and while this isn't my favorite album by them it fits right into the collection perfectly. I've always respected JE for staying true to their R&B sound and finding a way to keep it fresh and current with the times. By no means do they conform to the way music sounds today, they just keep the beats and lyrics fresh. I can play this whole album front to back, the only song I don't really care for is the very last one. If you like JE or just want something that has that classic R&B sound you need to get this album. They don't really make music like this anymore. Glad JE still does.
