We have had tremendous difficulty getting a sound bar to properly work with this tv. The HDMI/ARC port only worked intermittently, even after using two different cables. The only solution according to Geek Squad was to use an optical cable. I cannot adjust the TV speakers and sound bars independently of one another using the optical cable though.
