Who knows were the original Nikon cap is for our lens? They are easily misplaced. Fortunately, with this, they are easily RE-placed. Holds nicely, yet comes off with a gentle squeeze. Just make sure you are getting the right size for your lens. The size is printed right on the front of most lenses.

Pros: This is quite a step up from my Google cardboard. I can use it handsfree without feeling like I will split my head in half. I wear glasses and this fits over them, but does begin to pinch after half an hour or so. The motion tracking and display update are quite smooth and I don't get nauseated, but it is totally immersive and can be disoriented. Feels a little like Inception. "Is the light on in the real world?"
Cons: I get all kinds of lockups, and glitches. My Samsung Galaxy S6 overheats after 20 minutes. There is some drift on the accelerometer/gyros so the virtual world slowly revolves relative to the real world. It takes 15 minutes or so to make it 90 degrees, but it does move, so I sometimes have to reorient the world. That and the quality of the optics causes me to have some fatigue so I'm only comfortable using it for 20 minutes or so anyway.
Overall, I think it is an impressive display of the capabilities of the technology, but at least with my phone, I wouldn't think of it as more than a toy. A really cool fun toy, but a toy just the same. I have returned to Yosemite valley, and Venice as well as touring Petra. It isn't incredibly smooth to navigate, but there are parts of the world that are worth the trouble for the view.

Works well with recent Android products

Works well with my recent Androids, Samsung Galaxy S4 and S6. However, no joy with my older Kindle Fire HD 8.9. It's older version of the OS is not supported by the app. I can still transfer files, using the web interface, but not stream.
I haven't run the battery down yet, but it doesn't seem to last that long. There also seems to be a lot of self-discharge (ie. the battery burns down even when it isn't on).
Still, it is a decent alternative to OTG for devices that don't support SD expansion. One advantage over OTG, is that I can have either one or both the device and my cellphone plugged into a portable charger while playing a movie. Can't do that with OTG as it takes up the charging port.

Would this item fit my 70D camera lens, I'm new in this hobbie.
You need to look at the front of the lens. The filter (and cap) size is usually printed in white letters right on the front of the lens. (eg. 52mm) Make sure that this number matches the lens cap size and you're good to go.

How and what options does the power/battery-powered/charging work for Gear VR?
The Gear VR itself is powered by the phone so it doesn't get charged itself. The battery on my Galaxy S6 gets chewed up pretty fast when using the Gear VR. There is a plug on the Gear VR to allow you to connect a charger. I found it obtrusive, and I don't use it for these reasons:
1) I'm only comfortable using it for 20 minutes or so.
2) I don't have a charger with a really long cable that would be comfortable for me to sit while connected.
3) My phone gives me overheating warnings after 15 to 20 minutes of using the Gear VR and charging adds more heat, so I don't want to make that any worse.

Short answer: None.
Slightly longer: Any apps are loaded on your phone. There are a few free games in the store. If you get the Samsung GS7, I believe the offer comes with a voucher for some free games. There is a time limit for downloading them, and I would bet that you will need that feature of using external micro sd, because the apps are pretty big.

Able to take notes?
I want to be able to take notes on the tab and need to know if resting my hand on the tab wil mess up writing with the S pen. I tried it on a Note phone and my hand could rest on the screen without ruining what I was writing. Will the same apply to this tablet?
It depends on the app., but for most, yes, there is palm rejection.
