In The Sims 3, you got the opportunity to throw open the doors and explore the neighborhood — well in The Sims 4, it's time to look within the mind, body and heart of your Sims for an amazingly rich and incredibly lifelike story that you won't forget. The beauty of The Sims is that it simulates life and hands the controls over to you, but what is life without emotion? For the first time, your Sims feel and express emotions with a diverse range and depth that can be influenced by other Sims, actions, memories or even the clothing and objects you choose. What could be more true to life than that? With intelligence and emotional depth, your Sims will move, behave and interact more naturally than ever before. From multitasking to expressing their mood through the way they walk, your Sims continually show a greater depth of character that creates a world of possibilities for rich, interesting stories. Choose your Sims' personalities and select their aspirations, then walk with them down the path toward their lifelong goals through their thoughts, social skills, careers and memories. Besides a greater wealth of emotion, The Sims 4 delivers an array of exciting new features, such as a powerful Create a Sim mode that gives you the freedom to sculpt Sims with tactile precision and a new room-based Build mode to help you construct the home of your dreams. Vibrant new neighborhoods give you a diverse and brilliant variety of lots, while new objects, outfits and traits motivate you to complete events, discover collectibles and unlock achievements. Share it all with your fellow Sims-lovers and download community creations for an all-new look. The Sims 4 inspires greater creativity and longevity from you while delivering deep intelligence and emotion for an unforgettable simulation experience that brings your stories to life.

My daughter anxiously awaited the Sept 2 release date and we had to go there as soon as I got home from work to get for her. Installed as soon as we got home.
She loves it. When I asked her what is different from Sims3, she said "They make their own cake in Sims4, but they buy it in Sims3." She also said there are no toddlers in Sims4. They aged up to a child.
But she's been playing it non-stop since Sept 2. :-) Enjoy!

What's great about it: It's fun!
What's not so great: It won't let you age all your kids at once.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Climb aboard the Time Portal and launch your Sims to their most thrilling destination yet in Into the Future, which takes them to a whole new world that exists hundreds of years from now and is filled with humming hover boards, sleek monorails, exotic hairstyles and a vast, exciting environment to explore and experiment with. There are loads of new futuristic technology gadgets to play with and amazing out-of-this-world locations await, but beware — every action you make in the present could affect the future and vice versa. Jumping between the present and future, meeting your descendents and experimenting with your actions could totally change your Sims' way of life. If you're not careful, it could bring about complete chaos — or maybe that was your plan all along.Travel to the future with your Sims and experience all of the exciting new technologies for entertainment, transportation and the home and experience how they re-invent the ways your Sims travel, socialize, sleep, work, eat and have fun in Into the Future. Your Sims can learn how to use this innovative tech and take their Advanced Technology Skill back to the present to get the most out of these objects there. Build your very own Plumbots with seven unique trait chips that you can use to program them — but if you mix and match, they're bound to behave in surprising ways. Equip your Sims' homes with the wave of the future with holographic TVs, easels, plants and computers and add architectural touches, such as peaceful rooftop gardens and automatic sliding doors until you have the perfect home. Explore the futuristic environment as you zip across town on the monorail, enjoy a tasty synthesized meal served by Plumbots in the outdoor café or explore the vast wasteland in search of clues to the mystery of the lost ocean. Between the amazing objects and the ability to change life in the future with your actions, Into the Future delivers a thrilling, science-fiction experience to your Sims 3 gameplay.
