Decent but not perfect

The Roku like every other streaming device (AppleTV, AmazonFire, & Chromecast) can give your non-smart TV the abilities of a smart TV. While it does accomplish what it says, it does it poorly in comparison to the AppleTV or even a Playstation 3. I bought it for my mother but we found it to be slow, cumbersome, and outdated. The Netflix app on this is the worst. It's poorly designed and unable to switch users on the same account. My mother is keeping it but I do not recommend it.

An excellent tv!

Not a smart tv, but not a drawback if it's not necessary. I have a PS3, PS4, and an Apple TV so this model is perfect. The tv features active 3D technology which enables it to convert 2D images into 3D. The effect is more impressive than most of the conversions done in Hollywood. The clarity of the picture is remarkable as is the color range and speed of the pictures. The sound on the tv is mediocre at best, but a soundbar and a powered subwoofer should be all you need for a great sound experience. Lastly, this tv does not come with 3D glasses. Luckily there rechargeable ones from Samsung are the best out there. Be sure to pick up a set!
Internet content most enjoyed: No apps, but is able to access media servers with a direct LAN connection or with the Samsung Wi-Fi USB (sold seperately)

What's great about it: Beautiful picture, great 2D-3D Conversions, Easy to set up, and Great price
What's not so great: Not a smart tv, no built-in wi-fi, only two HDMI ports, did not some with 3D glasses
