Best Single Lens to Travel With

I have been working on reducing the amount of equipment I carry for travel. I use Canon and have for years. I own their 18-200 and it works well. I have experimented with the Tamron 18-300 and it worked well but has focusing issues in low light. When this lens came out all of the sample images Tamron posted were shot with the Canon 80D. I purchased one immediately from Best Buy and it is fantastic. I used it to photograph the recent Solar Eclipse and it worked perfectly. So far it has performed perfectly in all lighting conditions and I am extremely pleased with it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I purchase this to use as a dash camera for driving through the mountains. I purchased the day before I planned to use is to it was a scramble to figure it out and get it mounted. It worked perfectly but does have short battery life. The batteries were reasonably prices so I had purchase spares. The videos were great. This camera comes with the waterproof housing which makes it time consuming to change batteries.

This is probably the best EF-S lens Canon makes. It is extremely sharp and with the f2.8 it provides excellent light and control of depth of field. On the bodies that use EF-S lenses it also gives the view of approximately 100mm. Great to portraits.

After doing homework on what drone to buy I purchased the Phantom 4. One of the major reasons was the batteries. They charge faster than most batteries and the indicator lights are extremely helpful for determining the charge level while charging but also during flight. Well worth the price.

Great Flash for a Traveler

Already having a Canon 600 Flash I wanted something a little smaller and lighter for travel but didn't' want to loose too much power. This fits the need perfectly. I can now travel with one camera, one lense and this flash and cover anything I encounter. It also acts as a send flash with the 600.

i am interested in purchasing the Tamron- Sp 150-600 G2 Telephoto lens. Will this mount directly to my camera? I shoot with the Canon 70D.
Make sure you get the G2. It is superior to the previous models. It will mount directly to your 70D but as a 240mm-960mm. This lens will also work on the Canon Full Frame like the 5D and 6D Mk II but it will be a 150-600. I use it on an 80D for moon shots and distant wildlife. It is a great lens.

I have a Cannon EOS Rebel XSi camera. Interested in wildlife photography with telephoto lens Will this Tamron lens above fit this camera? When will you have this lens in stock again if it fits my camera? Thanks
It will definitely work on your Rebel XSi. You will also get a bonus in that the 150-600 fits both Full Frame and 1.6 size Canons. On your camera it is actually a 240mm-960mm. This is also the 3rd version of this lens and it performs even better then the previous versions. Make sure that you have a sturdy tripod and attach the lens to the tripod and not to the body.
