I have older TV's and I wanted to know can I play movies from my phone (Droid X) to my TV through my cable box? If so, what do I need?

Hmmm. Hopefully this helps. This is a wireless solution that would not involve your cable box. You can buy a 60 dollar piece of hardware called "Push to TV" . This allows you to stream content from your smart phone, to your tv. It will even work wth laptops and tablets. However, if your tv is really old it may not be able to connect to it. So if your tv lacks the proper connections it mght not work. Pretty cool device otherwise.
