The seventh and final season of Family Ties continues to follow former 1960s activists Steve and Elyse Keaton (Michael Gross and Meredith Baxter-Birney) as they raise their children the suburbs of Reagan-era America. Their son, Alex P. Keaton (Michael J. Fox) clashes with them regularly due to his Republican beliefs, while their older daughter Mallory contends with typical teen issues, and their youngest, Jennifer (Tina Yothers) balances her siblings' quirks with her own tomboyish ways.
