and while the TV works well it's not as good as the previous Sony HD TVs and even old Sony tube TVs I've purchased. To start, the manual is the worst I've seen in the years I purchased this brand. 2nd my previous Sony HD TV I bought in 2010 had HDMI ports that all could accept playing overseas PAL DVDs from my all region player. I discovered on this model only HDMI port 1 will accept the signal. The other 3 are useless in that manner. PLEASE make ALL ports the same!?! 3rd, when using my off air antenna, I can only change the channels with the remote 9 or 10 times before the TV is stuck on a channel. To escape this dead zone I must wait a few minutes, then manually punch a channel number in and that allows me to move from the channel I'm stuck on. Other than that, the TV has a fine picture once you deactivate the stupid automatic brightness control to stop the constant flashing of bright/dark/bright/dark during certain scenes of whatever you are watching. How about instead of investing in the cost of that stupid feature, make all the HDMI ports equal? The channel/remote and the HDMI port issue was almost enough to box the TV back up and return it, but I decided I didn't want the hassle.
but not a total miss either. If you like time travel you should enjoy this, but King fans may not like all the changes. Franco is a bit out of his league, but is backed up by a cast that more than makes up for his lack of range. Worth watching at least once.
