Great Idea, Poorly executed

I bought this with the expressed purpose of accessing it across the internet, which I could do...just not that well. Llinking to it thru Seagate's online interface allowed streaming, but uploading & downloading are limited to 1 file at a time. no folders or multiple files.
Online access is allowed for 3 years, after which a yearly fee must be paid to maintain Seagate's site access.
Streaming High-def seemed fine, but local network access speed was fair at best, and Windows lost connection to the drive at least once a day.
This item has since been returned in lieu of an internal & an additional external drive.

What's not so great: Online Access, Drive letter lost constantly
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
