Cool Party Speaker with One Major Flaw

So let's get out of the way what the awesome is on this speaker. The LEDs and the customization are amazing. The fact that the speaker is water resistant is absolutely a plus. The audio customization through the app is absolutely awesome. Where my downfalls of the speaker come in through the fact that it feels that a lot of the perk of it being water resistant is taken away by the fact that the speaker just isn't that loud. I certainly wouldn't play it outside because the sound just wouldn't carry it far enough. For and indoors party or a casual speaker I would recommend it, but at that point I would just simply get speakers for inside like a sound bar or a stereo system. Besides that the audio quality is pretty crisp, but I just don't feel like enough justifies it outside of the LEDs.

Awesome Rave Speaker Lights!

So the big thing that is to keep in mind about Bluetooth speakers is that in order to stand out there needs to be some sort of killer feature. The biggest thing that this Sony does is that it really doesn't do anything wrong which is certainly not a bad thing. It does cover all of the bases with NFC Support, multi-speaker support, and even water resistance which is great. What does make the speaker stand out are the lights that are located around the speaker that just make it look awesome. While by itself probably not going to set off a rave party, certainly wouldn't be a bad addition to it, and Sony even had the good sense to make it customizable within their own app which is great. The sound is characteristic of it as well with a nice strong bass while still pretty good and it certainly set out to impress with the "Extra Bass" it is pushing. That being said it is still good for other types of music as well. The cloth material through the speaker feels good to the hand and probably my biggest gripe about the speaker is that I wish it supported USB C for charging, but that may be a downfall for some people. Outstanding job Sony on standing out from the crowd.

Really good Home Theater Headphones

So if you are a home theater specialist you are going to love these head phones. The comfort on them is amazing and the padding is both firm and yet soft to the touch. The adjustments for your head can be a bit stiff, but once they are adjusted to your head then you won't be concerned about adjusting them afterwards. Setup of the headphones is simple enough and is similar to a hookup to a soundbar or other audio equipment. The charging base is also the connector and just has a 4 pin connector on the top that you rest the headphones on that allows it to charge. Although it seems the connector sometimes doesn't click right with it there is an LED on the base that tells you once it is connected which I appreciate. In terms of pairing the headphones to the base there is no setup simply power on the headphones and the base starts right with it so just plug in the base, run your audio cables and it connects just like that. Coming from someone who is used to premium audio I am still astonished by how good Hi-Fi audio sounds. It is so accurate in so many places and it just makes it a wonder to listen to high quality music. Listening to games as well just makes it amazing and I just wonder if the only reason it doesn't sound even better is because of the source that it comes from. In my case I used the back of my TV and the optical audio cable, which is included, and it sounds amazing. Top notch audio all around and you won't be disappointed.

Really impressive TV for price

So I want to go ahead and give a technical run down of the TV itself to clear up any confusion about the TV because unfortunately information about the TV is scarce. It is indeed a 4K Smart TV, but one of its biggest features isn't even advertised on the box! It is actually HDR10 compatible as well and it looks really top notch for a TV under the $1000 price range. While the 60" just doesn't feel that much larger than the 55" it replaced I can confidently say that if picture quality is what you are looking for on a large TV under $750 then this is definitely a safe bet. I really like that the remote that is included has the dedicated buttons for Netflix, Amazon, Vudu, and Youtube. The major catch is finding 4K HDR content. I have a setup that heavily compliments it including an Xbox One X, PS4 Pro, and a DirecTV box that has at least some level of 4K HDR content. I would imagine that this is one of the best setups one can have with it. One could also go with 4K Blu-Rays that also have HDR support with the understanding that Dolby VIsion is not supported, but I'm not disappointed by it because it is a feature that is usually on higher end TVs, but the price to performance on this TV is quite preferable. Optical audio is also supported on the TV and while I like my home theater headphones for it the speakers are also quite loud although rear facing and as such not necessarily the ideal setup. I would recommend a sound bar to compliment the setup. It does have a light in the lower left to indicate that it is in standby mode and I appreciate it. Overall if the TV holds up well then I will be quite impressed by the TV and will happily recommend it. Good job Hisense!

Great Starter Kit for Cable Cutters

So you're tired of the high prices of television, but you want to be able to watch certain TV shows and sports programs, but you're not sure where to start. Well let me confirm that this is a fantastic place to start. I really feel that AirTV nailed their initial product to get started. It's not just that it has integration with your TV antenna, but that the whole ecosystem is pretty well developed and the product is solid overall. It starts with the Android TV Box. While it's not as full featured as some other Android TV boxes it does cover the basics and some extras. It's really nice that it is capable of 4K and gives it some future proof capability. The box itself is not particularly powerful and is clearly aimed at multimedia enthusiasts as opposed to Android TV enthusiasts. It won't replace your game console on any level. That being said streaming quality and wireless capability on this box is really reliable and it's even voice controlled. For streaming Netflix, Google Play Music, Youtube, and the included 50 dollars worth of Sling TV all streamed in good quality through the box, and was quite impressive. There are even dedicated buttons on the box as well. The box also includes being able to stream your TV antenna through the USB adapter that is included so you can get your local channels. My complaint with the device lies in that I would often get crashes within the apps when first opening them and would sometimes take multiple tries in order to open it which can be frustrated. Also access to the Google Play Store is....limited and you will certainly be missing certain apps. At the time of writing this review there was only one web browser and it was not a great one at that. You will need a keyboard to use it as well. Overall why it doesn't cover every single thing I think that there is a lot going right here.

Issues all around back to Windows Defender

So I consider myself a legitimate Information Technology person and I can tolerate a certain amount of troubleshooting to a point. What I don't tolerate is poor customer service, a broken product, and a website that doesn't work. So I ran into issues even before the installation process. I went to the website where I was to register the product following the steps that they had given me, and I at first had to reset my password because I previously had an account, that's not a problem and I'm not bothered by it, then I signed in, and the webpage had a loop on it and would not allow me to register my AVG with my profile. I thought that maybe it was just a weird thing with the website and it was registered so I went to the "My Products" page and it was not there. So I decided to try a different web browser, and I had the exact same issue. So I decided to reach out to their "Premium" Technical Support. They had me try clearing my cookies, which was something I had tried on my side as well just in case it was picking up loose files. He asked me my email and password, which I was uncomfortable with because I don't like giving out my password. He actually tried to register the product on his side, and he had the exact same issue. He put me on hold for around 5 minutes which is fine. Then he was going to transfer me to "Technical Support" at which point I was thinking, then "who are you?" He proceeded to do a cold transfer without explaining to the next technician what was going on. He had me try a different link than what is within the guide, but brought me to the same layout of site. I tried it from there, and still did not work. He wanted to remote into my PC even after the previous technician had the same issue. I could easily tell that this technician was some sort of computer illiterate even after I told him I do IT for a living. I promptly refused him and I hung up. I don't like being talked down to and I certainly was in that case. So I decided to find a loophole and get the product installed. So I found a place that I could download the installer on their website and I installed it that way, and my troubles didn't end there. The software didn't want to properly start the Firewall and Windows Firewall was blocking it so unwisely I disabled my firewall and restarted my PC and attempted to enable theirs, which still didn't work. After about half an hour to get it to work properly I decided to finally give up and wanted to write about my issues with AVG "Ultimate." For an IT person who has installed thousands of applications and many anti-viruses this has by far been my worst. I will never recommend AVG or any of their products following this experience.

So I want to get most of my issues with this fitness tracker out of the way so I can get to what I actually do like about it. At the price point it is being sold at you can get a fully featured smart watch or at least a better fitness tracker than this one. If it was below 100 dollars I'd be touting it as an actual fitness tracker that looks like a watch that can do both the fitness tracker and basic watch capabilities. If that was it's only problem then I'd still consider this a solid device, but it has issues beyond that. For a device that can sync up with Bluetooth and gets software updates why doesn't it automatically sync up with the time on my phone automatically? That is silly. It shouldn't be an issue; it should be something that is assumed, but not only does it not automatically do it, but when you try to sync it through your phone half the time it fails for me, and I have to set it manually. That's not all though. I was using the fitness tracker with Bluetooth enabled such that it can send my fitness data to my phone, but then I tried to place a call on my phone which was paired to my car through Bluetooth as well and it butchered the call quality making a loud noise through my speaker as to the point that I had to pull off the road and disable the Bluetooth on the watch in order to continue. That is just unacceptable to me. Here is what I do like about the fitness tracker. It does track my vitals quite well, and it constantly updates your heart rate. As a fitness tracker it's pretty good and you can even use it over night since the battery stamina is quite awesome. I also like the charger that it comes with, and while Micro-USB or USB-C would be more convenient I do like their alternative because of stable it is on the watch making it easy to travel. The buttons on the watch are large and have some great feedback when pressing them.
If the watchs issues aren't a turn off for you know that it still does a solid job overall.

Outstanding Living Room Speaker

Fullness of sound is how JBL should market this amazing speaker. It delivers the same level of performance that its high end JBL Extreme speakers delivers, but designed as a non-portable speaker that has applications that make it a home automation centerpiece with integration to the Google Assistant. While not flawless if you are a music lover you will really appreciate the deep bass, balanced mids, and crisp trebles that this speaker can deliver. I'm actually afraid to turn the speaker completely up because it's clear that this speaker can get very loud and can easily fill my whole home with sound. If you're looking to throw a party and want a speaker that can deliver and at the same time makes it easy to be a DJ because with Google Play Music makes it easy to keep playing music then this is a fantastic choice. It's power cable does have a power supply attached to it and as such it may be slightly difficult to find a place to have it tucked away. Voice recognition is spot on and easily recognizes various voices making it easy to ask it questions. Installation and setup is very straightforward with the Google Home app. I do wish that there were lights on the speaker that make it more easy to recognize when the speaker recognized your voice, but trust me...it did and you can just say what you need to. Overall the speaker is quite awesome and makes a good fit into any home.

Very disappointing, bloated features

So the biggest reason that I did not like Bitdefender is that it seemed to interfere with my everyday usage of my computer, and often at times felt like it was bloatware in of itself. While yes it did not have an effect on the performance of my laptop it often felt that it stopped me from doing things on my laptop. A couple of really good examples is that whenever you are making an online purchase or checking online banking information it will open up a specialty browser of sorts, but the problem is that it doesn't take over the information that you had put into the previous browser. So if you were ready for checkout from say Best Buy and you were going to run your transaction through you would all the sudden not see your items in your cart and in this specialty browser you would need to go do all of your shopping again and also need to sign into the website where you were doing your application. You also can't back out of it and it makes it difficult to do simple things like check your online banking because if you navigate away from the specialty browser then whenever you load another page from your normal browser it will bring this specialty browser back up. So it is a nightmare and there seems to be no way to turn the feature off. Coming from the perspective of an IT person I also find it infuriating that you cannot completely uninstall this software from the computer without doing an Operating System reinstall. That is absolutely insane. I can completely remove the actual anti-virus, but you can't remove the "Bitdefender Agent" that reinstalls it back onto your computer. Oh and it also have the issue with conflicting anti-virus. It turns off Windows Firewall which I expect it to do, but does not turn off Windows Defender when it is installed. It is literally one of the most consumer unfriendly anti-virus software applications I have ever seen. It does get a point from me for truly not being heavy on system resources and that is a strong mark for it. Honestly I prefer Windows Defender granted I rarely have issues with viruses on my computer.

Amazing Laptop with even more potential

So let me get started with what makes this laptop amazing. The performance is simply amazing. Everything that it does is quick and snappy, and after getting the device initially set up it feels more so. A proper setup is necessary, but then it flies through every day tasks no problem. I really like the stylus support and it just brings it together as a laptop that you can do a bit of anything. I wouldn't see this as a gaming laptop, but anything outside of that including multimedia it simply crushes at with a 4 core, 8 thread Core i7 processor and 16 GBs of memory. If you want even more responsiveness you can also upgrade the laptop with a NVMe SSD that makes this laptop compete with even higher end Macbook Pro models. HP truly managed to make a light, powerful, and energy efficient laptop that is a perfect blend. I see this laptop being my daily driver for a long time, and whatever replaces it will have to be amazing. Windows Hello with the IR Camera makes it feel premium in every aspect and the build quality is substantial. Fantastic job HP

Do these have the 3.5 connection?
No, Apple does make a version of these earbuds with the 3.5 mm connector, but these implement audio over the lightning connector.

Best Buy does have a price match policy at the time of writing this post, but you can also choose to pick up the item in store so it is a sort of redundant question at that point.

Yes you can. It has the same features as the Google Assistant. You can also use Pandora as well.

Since sales tax various from region to region it would depend. I live in West Virginia where sales tax is 7% so for me it is roughly 750 dollars.

I have a Comcast modem going to a apple time capsule for wifi. Can this be installed after that and still give me access to time capsule and increase speeds?
I would say that the Apple Time Capsule would be redundant when you can simply install an external hard drive. The point of the Apple Time Capsule is that it is a all encompassing Wi-Fi solution with hard drive capabilities built in.

Will it help to stop buffering?
Depending on if your Internet bottleneck is your router itself. If the router you have is the bottleneck then yes and this may even help you get more of your bandwidth from your ISP, but if you are not getting enough speed from your Internet Service Provider then this isn't going to help.

I cannot get internet service in my area. But my cell phone works fine. Can I use this instead of an Internet provider?
No you must have Internet Service for this to give you Internet. What is required is a Internet Service Provider and a compatible modem.
