this is my second range extender from netgear. first one was burnt by storm. it does extend the signal throughout my home especially to the rooms on the other side of the house. I get a strong signal

I purchased one tonight and quickly and easily set it up for both 2.4 and 5.0 GHZ which one of these would be the best setting? Does it matter? They both appear to have the same range and reception. My phone can only use one connection at a time.
