My 665 remote has froze up on me every time I try to use the activity "watch movie" . It locks up and have to pull the batteries out to reset it . Press "watch movie" and it happens again. I took it back and got a second one and the same exact problem exist. I have 4 other 650 model remotes and they all work perfectly . Something defective with this 665 remote . I will return number two and get another 650 model.

Get a better TV !

I've had this 4K player since it came out and I'll agree with a lot of reviewers that it is not that great of an improvement over regular Blu Ray movies . That is until I got a better TV ! I had a 65" Samsung 8 series which is a great tv for watching tv and Blu Rays but I was not impressed with my 4K Blu Ray movies . So one day I was talking to the local magnolia theatre rep at a nearby Best Buy store and was telling him how I wasn't impressed with my 4K movies . I told him my set up of the Samsung 65" 8 series the Samsung 4K player running everything through my Pioneer Elite SC 95 using audio quest cinnamon hdmi cables . He says I got a great setup except that my tv basically was the weak link to my happiness . Apparently my tv is just a basic entry level 4K display and I needed a better one to achieve the wow factor I am missing with my theatre setup. So a few weeks later my wife and I decided to buy a 65" LG OLED Curved screen and bam !!!! I couldn't be happier . The LG TV is fantastic . My Samsung 4K Blu Ray player works perfect for me . I have over 50 titles in 4K and everyone of them is great . Long story short , get a better tv and you'll be very happy with this Samsung 4K player.

Well worth the extra money ....

Absolutely amazing TV ! I've had many Hi-Def TVs over the years all various sizes and brands and this OLED LG blows everything away that I've had. I went through four TVs before I finally coughed up the extra money to have the best TV out there right now . I started this quest with a 65" Sony and picture did not cut it . Too much light bleed . Returned it and did a lot of research and ended up buying the Vizio P65 . That was an excellent TV until I updated it and tried watching my 4K Blu rays . Picture was way too dark . Apparently there was something wrong with the panel . I did not wanna mess around with having it fixed so I traded it in on a LG 65 non oled and I returned that tv the very next day cause the light bleed was so horrible .So I ended up with the Samsung 8 series . Great tv when watching directv and Blu rays but I just wasn't impressed with the 4K Blu rays . I talked to a local magnolia theatre guy and he basically said my tv sucked . That I had a entry level 4K tv and that's why I was not happy . So then a couple weeks went by and my wife and I finally decided to bite the bullet and get the OLED TV. Best 3000 bucks I ever spent . I can't wait till I get it calibrated . That TV has competed my man cave and couldn't be happier with it. Do yourself the favor and just buy the oled tv . Nothing else compares . Thanks .....

Not worth 700 bucks

This player is no better then the Samsung or even the Philips 4K player . I have tne Samsung and it works perfect . This Panasonic I got a few weeks ago and was disappointed that for 700 bucks the picture was no better then the Samsung . I watched three different movies on each one and my eyes could not see a difference that justified spending the extra money . As I write this review I'm about to box up the new Philips 4K player and return it as well because between the three players there is no real difference in quality .

Before I bought this Vizio tv I had purchased a Sony xbr65x850d and assumed it was gonna be just as nice as the 75in Sony XBR I have down stairs . I was wrong in my assumption and had to return the 65in Sony due to light bleeding issues . So after that I decided to do a lot of research and found that the Vizio P65-C1 was rated really well so I bought it and could not be happier . Amazing picture quality and having it recently calibrated has made it even better . Awesome tv and would recommend to anyone looking for a great picture at a great price .

I am at a crossroad, I think this is a decent product but I'm torn between this one and the new OPPO 4K machine. Price could be an issue but the OPPO reputation is so far above the norm. Any thoughts?

does this tv currently support hdr-10
No it does not support HDR 10 yet but apparently Vizio is working on a firmware upgrade that will allow it to support both Dolby Vision and HDR 10. I know this because I have one of these TV's and have contacted Vizio and that is what they told me . Hopefully this summer yet they will have the upgrade available .

When will the P65-C1 be available again? It seems to have disappeared from inventory, and every day the estimated in-store date is pushed out by one day - ten days out. Is there a manufacturer issue/hold with the units?
I'm not sure where your from but I'm here in Southern California and when I bought my P65-C1 no stores anywhere around me had any in stock but I was able to pick mine up from the Best Buy wherehouse in chino ca .
