Like many of the reviews my unit had a power plug problem. The power plug on the unit was so intermittent and touchy that it took three days to charge it initially. My son also bought the same unit two days later and his unit had the same problem, but not as bad as mine. When you could get it to stay charged it seemed to be an ok unit. I returned it and got a full refund as an in store credit. Even though the unit was defective I had to take the in store credit, because trying to get it to work and not living that close to a Best Buy I didn't get it retuned in the allowed time. If you do buy this unit make sure you check it out right away.

Good lens, not much of a range

I like this lens and it works very well, but it's variable range isn't very wide. I find that I'm switching back and forth between this lens and my EF 24-105 a lot. You will need to get a lens shield or you will get sun flare when used outside. Not the lens fault, it just will give you a better picture if you use one.
I would recommend this to a friend!
