The first season of Nickolodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot follows Michaelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello, and Raphael as they battle the constant evil machinations of Shredder and the Krangdroids.
Other than a few annoyingly cute shots of the little kid, this is one of Cameron Crowe's better movies in recent years. Don't let the cover fool you into thinking this is a kid's film. While the subject and script are pretty family-friendly, this is, ultimately, a story about a man moving on with his life from tragedy and breathing new life into the people with whom he has contact. Recommended.
This is the best Cleopatra has ever looked on home video and certainly the definitive presentation of this under-appreciated classic. Marvel at the production value (which notoriously put 20th-century fox on the verge of bankruptcy) and enjoy the story that succeeds almost in spite of itself. Great performances and a strong script equal a fine classical film that works both as entertainment and possible diversion for students in high school Latin clubs.

Despite the inexplicable changes wrought to Homer's original tale, this movie succeeds as a big-budget, Hollywood adaptation of the Iliad...for the most part. Ignore the "damsel in distress" plot line and focus instead on the fine performances of Brad Pitt and Eric Bana as Achilles and Hector, as well as the production value and overall look and feel of this interpretation of the classical material.
