The first season is STILL the best in my opinion. I bought this as a gift at Christmas, for someone who fell in love with the show from the current season, after I told him to watch it. But it was imperative that he see what started it all, and what created a new, powerful, disturbingly horrific show.

I loved the first Child's Play movie... and own it. Not a fan of the unnecessary sequels that turned Chucky into a joke, and a very uninteresting figure. No longer scary... just annoying and a joke. But this film pleasantly surprised me. After refusing to watch or buy it when it came out, I finally decided to just jump in and give it a chance. I am a HUGE horror movie buff, so I had to check it out. The first film will never be duplicated, but this one was refreshing... having returned to the creepiness and darkness of the first film. If you liked Child's Play, give this a view. This film alone has redeemed the awful sequels of the franchise. :)

I remember seeing the movie poster at the theater when it was first being advertised and loved it (it definitely caught your attention), but I said to myself... Abraham Lincoln... a vampire killer? Oh Gawd. So I passed. How wrong I was. It came on a movie cable station and in the middle of watching I knew it was quickly going to be purchased and added to my movie collection.
The premise is refreshingly unique. The actor playing President Lincoln is perfect! The acting is excellent all-around. The plot in interesting and works! The cinematography is slick and very well done. I truly enjoy this film and have watched it a few times since.
