Papa Roach once again takes all that they've been so far & finds a way to combine it all into a pretty good album. Fairly solid, this album is what the fans want. The single "Help" & the song with MGK hold this album back from being five stars. I can get around "Help" because it is the most radio-friendly track & will serve them well on the radio, but the MGK song is unredeemable & should have been deleted from the final product.

People are angry that they've changed so much... Here's the kicker, it's not anything they haven't already done. Let me explain: take the song Numb, filter it through A Thousand Suns, but expand it to a 10 track EP (this is not a full album, regardless of how they feel), but have it performed by Fort Minor & Dead By Sunrise. At no point does this feel like a band... just watered down solo stuff, forced together, with guests & a lack of purpose. Is it garbage? No, but real fans will forget this over time.

One Direction sucks, that's just fact; but Styles on his own finds some real old school rock. It's a modern "classic 70s" rock album. John Lennon solo plus David Bowie, with shades of Queen & Aerosmith. It still kind of makes me sick to admit it, but this is a pretty good album that will age like wine. The future will call this a classic.

Bush has retained the same basic sound for the last twenty years, but this one shows more tenderness & worldly concern. It brushes against pop more than alternative, but it's still a decent Bush album, just more focused on the emotions.

After their expansion on the last album, this one takes a step back. For better or worse, the band returns to where we found them. Older fans may appreciate the regression, but those who found their last album stellar will probably feel like there's some things missing. Overall, another good album despite what you want.

As the title suggest, this is only for those wanting a heavy, in your face, asskicker. Few albums from the 80's hold up this well, remaining a thorough metal masterpiece.

By far the most experimental release by the band. Passing fans probably will overlook this eclectic gem, but real fans will appreciate it for its balls & spirit of adventure.
