I pre-ordered this title and picked it up on midnight launch from my local store. I'd read a ton of reviews saying this years Madden is more than a roster update, that they had done some major overhauls on Franchise mode, the defensive AI and the running game. Now that I've logged a good 40+ hours into the games various modes, for anyone on the fence I thought I'd give you some honest feedback.
a. Running Game - Yes it's been changed quite a bit, unfortunately if you've played past games, it's going to be a major learning curve for you. You first must unlearn most of your running tactics (when to juke, what to do to break a tackle) thanks to the new mini game when contact is made. Clicking the correct button on the screen can result in your player breaking a tackle. If you are like me, used to clicking X to stiff arm, or trying to juke out of a tackle, you'll have to retrain yourself never to do this, otherwise you will find you just lose every minigame.
2. Defensive AI - This is the big issue, hopefully it gets fixed in subsequent patches, but at launch there are 2 major problems.
A. In multiplayer games, there is a glitch that allows you and your opponent to see whether the offense is running or passing. Makes multiplayer games basically pointless at this time. B. In Franchise mode games, All Madden difficulty results in every QB throwing at least 90% accuracy, and there is a bug in the code that EA has acknowledged that results in huge amounts of fumbles. Check Youtube for multiple vids of 10+ fumbles in a game.

C. Franchise Overhaul - Yea... No. It looks almost exactly like last years did. This year there is more emphasis on weekly training drills, but in reality, you just need to get a Gold Medal on a drill, then sim it for each week to get the full bonus. Secondly, they added a Practice Squad system, but it's really just a waste of time. Your practice squad players get almost no development points, any good ones will get poached by opposing teams immediately, and you'll find that you wasted your time moving them there, only to cut them the following year.
All in all, if you like Madden, you'll probably buy this game. I bought this title using Best Buy's trade in, and honestly I wish I'd just kept last years Madden. The running game was more uniform to the series as a whole, there were far less glitches (fumbling, any QB>90% completion ratings, Multiplayer play reveal).

classic mortal kombat action

a decent addition to the series, good roster of characterd and each character has 3 styles to choose from which adds to the replayability. The story mode took about 5 hours to finish but was surprisingly enjoyable and they've added some online clan aspects to try and keep the multiplayer fresh.
that said, after beating story mode and playing online for a couple days I will keep this on my shelf unless a friend wants to play. Not enough to keep my interest, I wouldn't reccomend paying more than 20$ for it.

I've been a huge fan of from software games for a long time. Played all the souls games with multiple play throughs and + modes. I was concerned about the dramatic combat changes (removing shields and armor defensive strategies, less spell casting, less weapon variety, few covenants, changes in upgrade system.)
That said, I loved this game and didn't feel let down at all. Combat is fast and furious, enemies are varied and the bosses are large and fairly challenging. The chalice dungeon system is great for replayability and the gemstone upgrade system lets u create a large variety of weapon skill sets to play with.
Overall the game felt easier (even ng+ and beyond) than souls games.
I hope they add dlc with additional weapons. There are only about 18 in the whole game.

Enjoyable Nolan movie

I enjoyed the immersion and soundtrack of watching this film in theaters and I have to say the sound mix translates to the blu ray. If you have a decent 5.1 or 7.1 sound system, this is a great movie to put it through its paces. Just remember to turn down the bass if u have touchy neighbors.
The video quality is where I have an issue. Like the last 2 bat man movies there is an aspect ratio shift between the Imax scenes and the scenes shot with standard cameras. There is not a way to fix this jarring switch from full screen to wide screen and it really detracts from the immersion into the movie. That said, the Imax scenes like the water planet and the ice planet wide shots look fantastic.
lastly, take the time to check out the special features. Some great stuff on how they shot specific scenes and built some of the craft and sets.

Awesome game, but why would you buy this?

I love Soul Sacrifice, I still think it's the best title available for the Vita, has a fun multiplayer (4 person vs Monsters) mode and a very deep single player campaign. The story is a bit bizarre, but I enjoy the large amount of upgrade options and character development.
Here's the problem, Sony re-released this game as Soul Sacrifice Delta, and never released a physical copy in the states. You can still download Delta off of PSN, and YOU ABSOLOUTLY SHOULD rather than buying this. This game was so broken upon release, that rather than patch it, Sony just ignored the problem and then released a new version that fixed the myriad of problems. If you want to pay 7$ for a demo test of the game, sure go ahead and buy this, otherwise, pass and go get Delta off of PSN.

Decent streaming stick

A little limited on app availability at the moment, but it's got potential. The load times are better than my Roku and certainly runs faster and more cohesively than my Smart TV. I enjoyed using it for Netflix and Amazon Instant Videos, and I recently tried the Sling TV app, which may result in my cutting my cable service off soon.
One thing to be careful of, this device seems really finicky with Wi-Fi connections, and I had to play with my channel and broadcast settings on my router to get it to work consistently.

Best buy's Return policy is 15 days, 45 for elite plus members, If you purchased it 2 months ago you are beyond return policy. You might be able to bring it in, if they can verify the defect they might be willing to cover you under the manufacturer warranty, but more than likely you will be referred to Sony. The device does come with a 1 year limited warranty, so you should be covered through them.
