Very pleased with this unit. Bass response is solid + the fidelity is great. I originally wanted an Infinity One but I think this is a good replacement.
Some have said the bass sounds too boomy/enhanced at low volumes however I don't find that to be the case. This thing sounds great at any volume, even with Pandora over Bluetooth
For reference, my main stereo is a Denon 4311 powering Paradigm speakers + an SVS sub and while physics won't allow a small unit like this to ever really compete with a full on stereo, the JBL holds its own for what it was designed to do.
For those looking comparing this to the Bose Soundlink Mini, the JBL will easily overpower the Bose. Not a knock to the Bose, I think they are designed for different purposes. The JBL is easily double the size of the Bose unit...and the ends of the JBL are actual speakers so if you want this thing to be ultra small/travel friendly, then the Bose might have the edge.

I have Klipsch AW-650's mounted on the house near the back deck and they sound great. I wanted speakers in the yard so you could hear music out there too without having to blast the deck speakers. After reading many reviews I decided on the RS6 Pro Rock Speakers from Niles. I have a Denon 4311ci powering both the Klipsch speakers (via zone 2) and the Niles RS6 Pro rock speakers (via zone 3). Each pair is hooked up to its own volume knob for independent level control. The Denon easily powers them to "party" levels although I was also impressed when breaking them in/testing them in the basement using a mid-range Onkyo receiver and also with an Emotiva Flex Fusion amp.
I am very pleased with how these speakers sound although I'd give the slight edge to the Klipsch's if I had to pick between the two. The speakers are very well built and well-packed for shipping. They seemed to improve after a slight break-in period as well. The 2-way design of the rock speakers features a tweeter that is angled up so they sound great even while sitting on the ground and they also provide a wide coverage area. Overall, very pleased and I'd get 2 more if I had a bigger yard!

These all-weather speakers let you relax on your back porch and enjoy your favorite tunes at the same time.

Can I hook this up to my computer?

I want to hook this up to my computer to play pandora in my backyard, can i do this or do I need to purchase an attachment?
You can connect them to a computer but you will need to get an amplifier as well since these speakers are not self-powered. you would connect the computer to the amp using a 3.5mm to RCA cable, then from the amp to the speakers using speaker wire.

A basic 2-channel amp would work well and easily provide enough power.
