Great choice for portability and productivity

This is the first actual Dell laptop that I have ever owned. The reason I wanted this laptop is because I was looking for something portable, powerful, and somewhat affordable. I believe this laptop for the most part checks all those boxes.
Design
I would first like to talk about the unboxing experience. It did not have a fancy box with a bunch of stuff inside of it. Instead, it was shipped in the packaging box which was discrete. Inside was the laptop, charger, and a few documents. Although it was kind of boring packaging it was easy to unbox. The reason I mentioned the packaging being discrete is because multiple times I have had laptops let on my porch with pictures of what is inside.
The laptop itself is built of a nice metal body construction which does have some heft to it. I would say it is on the heavier side for laptops of its size but it also feels extremely well built. The 14 in screen is the perfect size to me for both productivity and portability. With a high resolution the screen looks beautiful and text looks crisp. The touch screen and flip around design allow for this to be used both as a laptop or a tablet.
The keyboard and trackpad are not bad by any means but the travel on both was a little less than I prefer. They work great and give good feedback but they just felt a little weird at first although I quickly got used to it.
As far as ports this laptop comes with everything you need such as USB-C, USB-A, SD card, and HDMI. I like that a standard USB port was included for some of those older accessories that way I do not have to use a dongle. The laptop charges via a USB-C charger. This is nice because you can use many different chargers and battery packs. But it is also a downside because it ties up one of your USB-C ports.
Charging should not be a problem because the battery life will last through many hours of use depending on what you are using it for.
Due to many people doing more things from home now Webcams have become a necessity. Dell has put a high-resolution webcam that will make all video calls crisp and clear. One of my favorite features of the webcam is the built in cover that you can easily slide over to ensure privacy when you are not using it.
Performance/Upgradability
The specs on this laptop are on the high end side for productivity but not quite on par with the highest performance laptops which is to be expected. I love that Dell has included 16 gbs of RAM because I think this is becoming the minimum necessary to do most tasks now a days. The latest Intel i7 chip offers both great performance and battery life.
This laptop can do any of your basic tasks with no problem. Watching movies, surfing the internet, checking emails are a breeze. I believe the laptop is less suited for high end video games, video/photo editing. Although it can do some of those things it might not be the best for it.
I always like to mention upgradability because technology changes so fast that it can be important. Unfortunately, being such a small package there is not much you can upgrade on this laptop. That being said I believe the components that it comes with will be good enough to last for years to come.

Conclusion
If you are student, small business, or just someone looking for a portable and productive laptop then I think this would be a great choice. I believe that it is constructed extremely well and can stand up to daily use and the components will last a long time even in a continuously changing environment. If I had to mention one downside it is that Dell has included McAfee anti-virus software pre-programmed on it. However, it is easily to uninstall. I would have preferred to be given the option to download it rather than it already come pre-installed. Other than that this is a great laptop and highly recommended.

I have recently started using a Sony full frame for video and pictures. Although there is a big learning curve from the previous cameras I was using, I wanted to use Sony products because they offer affordable and innovative solutions. This new Sony lens improves on that offering a great all-around solution for Travel photography.
I love bringing a full frame camera with me when I travel but sometimes it can be hard do to size limitations and then bringing a bunch of different lenses. This new Sony lens aims to reduce the number of lenses you need to carry by adding an additional 4mm of focal length to the wide end of the lens. When shooting landscapes 4mm can make all the difference. I find myself being able to use the 20-70 for Landscapes when before I would switch to a different wider lens.
This lens is built very solid. When I travel, I will typically throw my camera in a backpack along with other things. The lens is small and light enough in its close position that it can easily be carried anywhere. When Sony built this lens, they did not sacrifice on built quality but still managed to make it feel durable.
If you could only carry one lens for travel photography, I would make it this one. It is great for wide angle landscapes, medium portraits, and some close-range telephoto at 70mm. The best part is that it is inexpensive for the high quality of the lens. I believe this would also be a great lens for anyone starting out in photography who needs a great all around lens.

Best compact PA system on the market

I personally believe Bose is leading the industry when it comes to consumer audio. The S1 Pro+ PA system proves this point even more so. Most PA systems I have used in the past are big and bulky and although they are loud the sound quality has not been the best. The Bose PA system is one of the best on the market.
The size of this PA system is something unlike anything else. It is rather small and easily portable. This means it can be used just about anywhere and it can be easily placed incognito if you are using it for events. One other note on the design is the buttons and settings for the aux inputs. It allows you to connect microphones or instruments via a chord or wirelessly (adapter sold separately). You can tweak the settings on each input separately which is nice however they have little LED screens and one button with a knob used to adjust settings. In my opinion this can be difficult when trying to adjust settings on the fly but it is not a deal breaker. I would have preferred physical knobs for each setting although I am sure this would take up more space.
The wireless adapters for both mics and instruments are sold separately but they can be stored in the speaker itself when not in use which is convenient. They also have rechargeable batteries that regenerate while they are stored inside of the speaker slots.
Obviously since it is a speaker you might wonder how it sounds. This is much louder than your average Bluetooth speaker. It can easily be used for large audience in to 100+ range. It gets very loud and the sound does not distort even at its highest volumes.
This system does have Bluetooth so you can play music from a mobile device. The only downside is that it is required to be plugged in for it to operate. Bose has an app that allows you to adjust settings from your phone. The microphone, instrument and Bluetooth inputs can be played over one another. This is great if you want to use it for karaoke for example.
If you are looking for a PA system for events and want something that is compact, easy to set up, and has great sound quality then look no further. This would be a great speaker to take camping because it can easily be plugged in and play great music for the entire family to enjoy.

Must have band for Apple Watch Ultra

The Apple Watch Ultra was built to be rugged and used in extreme climates. Any watch of this degree needs watch bands to match its durability. I am personally very picky when it comes to watch bands. Some of the things I require are a band that is stylish, durable, breathable, comfortable, and secure.
The Platinum rugged silicone band surprised me and is everything I previously mentioned. Starting of with style, this band comes in multiple colors. The one I got was the darker green and I think it goes very well with the Apple Watch Ultra and is an everyday color.
Since this is a rugged silicone band it is durable, breathable, comfortable. Silicone is my preferred material when it comes to watch bands for this very reason. It can hold up to extreme conditions, it is waterproof, and can withstand every day wear and tear. It has a traditional watch clasp which allows it to stay securely on your wrist and offers adjustability for the most common wrist sizes. The designs on the inside of the band allow for air flow to move through your wrist which reduced the amount of sweating underneath. I have worn many watch bands that are not comfortable but I was please with how comfortable this watch band was.
The last thing that I prefer is a watch band that is secure. I have used some cheaper watch bands in the past and they just do not feel secure and have even come unsecure. The Apple Watch Ultra was designed for the most extreme conditions and having a watch band that can secure it to your wrist is most important. The standard clasp design is one of the most secure watch band designs possible. I was also impressed with the metal hinges used to connect the band to the watch. The previous band I was using had silicone hinges and they never felt as secure. The metal hinges make the band feel very secure and it is not going to come off the watch on its own.
I would highly recommend this watch band for anyone with an Apple Watch Ultra. Although most watch bands from previous models are compatible with Apple Watch Ultra, I believe this watch band specifically designed for Apple Watch Ultra is a must have.

Must have for lawn season

Spring season is upon us and at least where I live that means its time to start doing yard work. An essential part of yard work is having a good blower to clean up your mess. Granted there are many other uses for a blower such as cleaning up fireworks or drying your vehicle but having a good blower is essential for anyone with a home. Not long ago, if you wanted a good blower you would have to buy a gas one. They required maintenance, gas and many other headaches. Not to mention they can be loud. Electric blowers have become so good that gas blowers for most use cases are a thing of the past.
The greenworks blower is one of the better ones for sure. This blower is not small or compact by any means but comparatively to gas blowers it Is fairly light a smaller foot print.
This blower comes with an 80V 2.5AH battery. This is a pretty large battery and gives the blower a lot of power. If you are looking for other products from this company the battery is compatible with many other things. It comes with a charger that offers a fast charge so that you can get back to blowing If you run out of charge. That should not be a problem for anyone with even a decently large yard because it is rated to last an hour on low settings. I have an average size yard and was able to use it multiple times without having to recharge.
I was surprised by the amount of power it was able to output. Greenworks states it is rated at over 170 mph output of airflow. Although I am not sure the actual air rate, I can guarantee is plenty to do any job you put it up to whether its blowing leaves, grass, or any other debris. There is a trigger that can control how hard it blows and a button that can be used to lock the trigger in place. For the most difficult tasks it has a button on the top that can be pressed for an extreme amount of air.
If you have other greenworks products this blower makes a lot of sense because of the interchangeable batteries. If you are someone looking for a blower and not sure what to get, then this one is going to be powerful, durable, and reliable. I would highly recommend this blower to anyone who does their own yard work because it makes cleanup so much easier. This comes with everything necessary to get started.

Must have at home expresso machine

Going to a coffee stand every day to buy coffee or expresso can become an expensive habit. With this expresso machine you can be your own barista. Whether you want to make coffee or expresso this machine can do it all. The machine has so many different options that you can make your drink the specific way you like it.
Overall, it is a large machine but if you have both a coffee maker and expresso maker you can reduce space by just having this. One thing that I like is that it is easy to clean. There is a compartment that you can remove to dump coffee grounds and the water tank is also removable for easy cleaning.
There are so many features this machine has that the more you use it the more advanced drinks you will be able to make. The instructions are decent and it is fairly easy to learn and operate. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking to up their at home coffee/expresso game. Or simply anyone who is looking to save a little money and not have to visit the coffee stand every morning.

Drones 250 kg and larger have certain guidelines and restrictions that must be followed. This created a market for drones that were 249 kg to not be subject to such restrictions such as registration and drone licensing. With advances in technology drone manufactures have been able to pack high quality cameras, long lasting batteries, and capable drones into a small little package.
The Snaptain P30 by Vantop is the latest drone in this category. This review will cover the good, the bad and the ugly of this drone. When you open the box, you first open a small case. One of my favorite things about the drone is that it comes with a semi hard case that everything fits inside. Sometimes the hardest part can be finding a case that will fit the drone perfectly. It is also the perfect side (not to big and not to small). It can easily be put inside of a backpack or handbag. The drone itself is extremely light. Although this is my first ultra-light drone, it feels very cheaply constructed. I am not sure if that is due to it being so light or not.
The next thing I will cover is the battery and controller. Both the battery and the controller can be charged using the included USB-c cable. It does not come with a power brick for charging but it can be plugged into any usb. It can even be charged off a computer or power brick which is a bonus. The battery lasted close to its estimated 20 minutes of flight time. Although this can change depending on wind conditions, I believe this is plenty of flight time for a drone this size. The thumb sticks on the controller easily screw off and can be housed on the bottom of the controller. The controller can hold a phone but if you have a large phone like me (iPhone 14 Pro Max) it will require you to take off the case. Unlike other drones I have used in the past, the phone connects to the phone via wifi and not through a cable. Although this worked, the further the drone got away the signal became very laggy and glitchy. Although it still worked, I would have preferred to have a wired and smoother video feed.
As far as flying the drone it was very impressive. The weather has been windy where I live and even in moderate wind conditions the drone seemed to fair well for being so small and light weight. The video controllers are easy to use and the picture/video quality was not the worst. The footage is more than usable.

Although there are some downsides to this drone, I still thing if you are looking for a small, lightweight, and inexpensive drone then it is worth it. It will do everything that it was intended to do but might lack some features of a more expensive drone. My biggest concern would be the wifi connection to your phone. As long as you have line of sight on the drone this should not be an issue.

Must have shaver with lots of technology

Since I started shaving as a teenager I have owned and tried many different shavers both electric and manual. Out of those I have owned many Norelco electric shavers and I truly believe they are some of the best. This shaver improves on many of the ones I have used in the past in several ways.
If you have never used a wet/dry electric shaver I recommend giving it a try. Especially if you are someone who must shave frequently. I have sensitive skin and I find that my skin does much better with an electric razor than a regular one.
Some of the features I love about this razor is that it has an interactive app that you can download. The app allows you to do things such as guided shaves, and even gives tips for different styles you might be looking to achieve.
I believe all the Norelco shavers use the same charger, at least the ones I have used. Although this one is the same, it is a USB charger which I am a huge fan of because it can be charged off any USB. Even a power bank, car, or a computer. The batteries on these are great and for typical use I believe you can easily get a week or more out of a single charge. I believe it is about an hour total.
I believe this shaver can be a good fit for just about anyone. If you are someone that is brand new to shaving the app offers you guided material and walks you through the process. If you are an experienced shaver it can help you to achieve the new style you have been wanting to try.

Great Tablet for Kids!

My son is 4 years old and although we try to limit his time on electronics, sometimes they can be useful. The Vankyo Matrix Pad is a great option when it comes to a tablet for kids. The most obvious reason is because it comes with a case which is very protective and easy to clean. Anyone with kids knows that they love to put things in their mouth and they can make a mess.
There are a few things that make this tablet stand out from other tablets that are also made just for kids. The first is that it comes with a stylus. The stylus also comes with a string to attach it to the tablet which I found very useful, since my son is great at losing things. This allows him to draw and write with some of the included apps it has for learning. Another thing this has is the kid’s software which it comes with and is free to use. This has many apps and games that are great for young kids to learn. I would much rather my son be using these types of apps than watching videos or movies. Another great thing this tablet has is a companion app for your phone that lets you set parental controls and have control over the tablet.
This tablet is a great value for the price, it works well, and it is an android based tablet so you can download anything you want to it. This also make it age appropriate for a child of any age. If you are looking for a tablet for you kid that you want to be both durable, and inexpensive I would definitely look at the Matrix Pad.

Metas best VR headset yet!

Although I have used VR many times in the past, I have never previously owned a VR headset. Currently there are so many models of VR on the market and they include everything from something you put your phone inside of, to self-contained systems, to VR headsets that require a highly capable PC to run. Meta has been in the VR market for quite some time and up until now has been focused on lower priced consumer products. The Meta quest pro is their first step into the professional and more work focused market.
When you unbox the Meta quest pro you will find a few different things in the box. First is the headset itself, the two controllers, a charging dock, a lens cover, stylus tips for the controls and a few other things. I was very impressed that Meta included a charging brick in the box. Many devices now a days do not include the charging brick and only have a USB cable. Setting up the devices took a little bit of time but it was a very simple process and the devices walked you through each step.
I believe Meta put a lot of effort into making this headset comfortable. Many VR headset after a few hours are no longer comfortable and can even make some people sick. This is not the case with the quest pro. I love how light it is and it only sits on the back and forehead. There is no strap going over the top which can put a little more pressure on your forehead but in my testing, I personally found this more comfortable. Also, these are light eight meaning that when they are on your head, they do not feel like it. Most VR headset block out your peripheral vision. Although it is possible to add on a piece that blocks it, I preferred to have my peripheral vision not blocked. This gives you a higher sense of awareness around you. Also, you do not feel as Closter phobic. Because of the design you can even where glasses with the headset on. Although I found that I was able to adjust the lenses enough that I did not need my glasses.
Battery life on these is about 1-2 hours of continuous play time. Although this number might seem relatively low, I do not think it matters. It is good to take a break after playing that long anyway and the charging is relatively fast. If you do not want to stop playing to charge them you can easily plug them in with the chord provided which is plenty long. They also come with a piece to route the cable out of your way and it is a 90-degree cable which makes it easier to use them while charging.
The quest pro also has the capability of AR which will use the cameras to allow you to put lay artificial objects over what is actually in front of you. I found the video quality was fairly great. These also have full face tracking. In games such as Horizon worlds it allows your facial emotions and expressions to be seen on your avatar by people around you in the game. In games like horizon world or workspaces it allows you to have real interactions with other real people and it feels much more immersive.
I only found two quirky things that hopefully can be worked out with future updates. The first one is that in Horizon worlds from time to time I could not make a thumbs up with my right hand. It worked a few times but for the most part it would not work. It is not the end of the world but kind of weird. The other is that I tried to play the poker game and it did not work that well. First, I could not move which way I was looking and so instead of it being in front of me I had to turn to the side and there was stuff in the way. Then somehow the poker table was almost near the floor and I was not able to pick up my cards easily without bending all the way to the floor. More than likely this is human error on my part and I just need to dive into the settings. However, it was not blatantly obvious how to make the necessary changes.
If you are someone how is interested in VR I would definitely look into this system. It might not be the cheapest system on the market. With the features it offers and ability to target the workforce I believe it is much more competitive with even pricier systems. One of the best things is that everything is built in and it is easy to travel with or carry in a bag. Meaning it can be used anywhere. With the advanced features of this system over other Meta systems, this is more capable than every before. If you are using it for work or to interact with others in any way, I believe the facial tracking is a great feature.

They are similar to AirPods Pro as far as figment goes. Personally they are not as secure as I would like them

I believe that it will help a lot. When it is on auto it tests the air quality and sets the fan level accordingly.
