I don't know why I waiting so long to purchase this product. I've heard of it for awhile. I didn't realize how easy & convenient it is to be able to stream HD videos & pictures to my HD TV from my iPad/iPhone. Plus set up is a breeze. I get people asking me how I was able to push my videos to my tv wirelessly. When I tell them about AirPlay & appletv most have never heard it. Love showing it off. Not sure why apple doesn't promote this awesome product more.

I think you can as long as it's connected to the same internet. I have a sony bluray player that is able to access HD videos I have recorded & then play them w/o issues on my HDTV Easily.
