In years past I've been on the fence about whether or not the deluxe editions of WWE2K are worth the extra $40-$60 but with this year's NXT Edition there was no question. A Finn Balor statue, Shinsuke Nakamura print and DLC of NXT superstars Nia Jax, Nakamura and Apollo Crews were all worth the $100 alone.
We're well past the halcyon days of Clarity but Damages is still a solid effort that shows the band in a more stripped down state. This album took a few spins to get the feel for but I love it now since spending some time. Jim Adkins' voice and songwriting is still the strong point here and this is best shown on the closing cut (a Jimmy Eat World staple for best album cut placement) 'You Were Good'.
Add immersive audio to your existing home theater setup with this Sony HTCT380 soundbar, which features 300W peak power and comes with a wireless subwoofer for a robust, dynamic soundscape. A Bluetooth interface simplifies pairing with select devices.
I had been looking for the best fit sound bar under $300 for my 46'' Sony Google TV and I found it in the HTCT380. The size and design fit my room and my entertainment center perfectly and the sound is impressive for my living room. I use it for general TV viewing, video gaming (Until Dawn was a new experience with this), Sports (I bought it mostly for Wrestlemania- it killed) and for use with Bluetooth apps on my tablet. It pairs quick, was set up and ready to go within 10 minutes. The compact sub hits well- almost too well at times that I only have to have the volume at about a quarter of capability for it to fill the room.
I'm a mark for Tarrantino so my bias is heavy. The film may be a miss for some as it is an extremely slow build. If you stick with the first 90 minutes (still engaging but very plodding) the final half is an immediate pay off. If you're at all squeamish about the dark side of human nature steer clear as you'll probably find this film horrendous. As for the Steelbook presentation- it's another beaut. Simple, yet gorgeous design and this version has some extras that other stores did not offer. QT is one of the finest directors to hear and watch speak on his process so the bonus features are well worth searching out.
With JJ Abrams on board I felt pretty confident that this would hit and it delivered on those expectations. It does feel at moments very fan fiction-y but it works. Rey and Finn have familiar tropes that they follow but are super engaging throughout. The Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital combo for $14.99 was a steal on release day. Well worth picking up for the film alone but the extras here (they're 'one watchers' but still interesting about the process) are interesting.
