These stainless-steel washing machine fill hoses are ideal for connecting most washing machines to hot and cold water.

Metal reinforced hoses

Needed to be purchased with the washer home a home installation provided by Best Buy. Like all wire reinforced hoses, they should be less susceptible to kinking (not typically an issue) and they should be less likely to rupture (also generally not an issue). The length is perfect for installation (not too short as some are). They appear to be high quality. Recommended with your purchase of a washer if you choose to have Best Buy perform the delivery and installation.

Great washer

This was our family's first "upscale" major appliance purchase. The only reason we purchased this appliance was a failure of our old (but faithful) agitator - Maytag - finally stopped agitating after more than 2 decades of uninterrupted, repair free service.
I did a lot of reading and research (as many people do these days). Agitator vs. impeller, longevity/durability, freedom from the need of repairs and reliability, the typical type/cost of repairs, capacity, user reviews from multiple websites/retailers, flexibility/options, efficiency, top vs. front load, etc...I probably spent weeks looking and sifting through reams of comments, many times getting bogged down in analysis paralysis.
One of the things I tried to find online but could not is the depth of the machine when the lid is open (from the lid back to the rear of the appliance). The service porch my washer lives is narrow and has cabinets above the washer/dryer location. I needed to know how far out from the wall I would need to place the washer so I could open the lid (which opens front to back) without hitting the cabinets. I even called LG direct and couldn't get an straight answer. There are many machines which do include this measurement detail when you look online - this one doesn't. Since this machine is taller than the typical 20 yr old washer, space is a consideration for my type of arrangement.
We went with top load to avoid the mold issues associated with front loaders. We chose the impeller so we could wash comforters and blankets - no matter how you slice it, agitators take up space in the machine. It seems that the big concern with these programmable machines (as opposed the the old fashioned but very reliable spin dial) is the circuit board and associated control electronics. These appear to be the achilles heel of programmable washers in terms of repair - the costs appear to be substantial if one of these boards goes out.
We have used this machine for about 6 months. With regard to impellers, there are reviewer comments mentioning two big drawbacks: tears to clothing and clothes coming out not clean. We have not experienced any of these issues. There are no rug rats in the home so I can't attest to pants saturated in mud and grass stains but I get fairly grody doing the yard work and car work - never had a cleanliness concern for any of our clothes. The washer is fairly quiet and we have also never experienced out of balance spin cycle issues also mentioned in some reviews. Certain this machine is far more quiet than our old agitator which banged the floor (no matter how perfect the feet were), rattled and knocked itself and was constantly shifting it's position. The capacity is truly stunning for a washer (especially in comparison to the old one we replaced) ...a small adult could almost sleep inside the thing. There is clearly room for any comforter or blanket we could ever possess (and probably more room than the two of us empty nesters will ever use beyond those large blankets and comforters). Back in the day, when the kids were being their dirtiest selves, I could see how a large capacity machine like this would have been a real time saver by cutting down on the number of loads - probably by a margin of 2 or 2 1/2 loads in the older machine equaling about one in this machine.
There are reviews which complain about clothes being twisted up and intertwined when they come out. This can happen with some clothes but really not a big deal in our hands with our clothes.
The sanitize cycle really takes washing to the limit - be prepared for well over an hour for this cycle - we love it (we are both in health care so we like our work clothes clean). We purchased the stainless/graphite - it is really beautiful (for a washer). Operation is straight forward. You can stop and add a forgotten item if needed (an issue with some other impeller machines - the doors lock audibly one they start washing) . No reliability or operational issues thus far.
We are quite satisfied and would recommend this to a friend any day of the week.
