My 9 year old granddaughter is into gymnastics. The small band fits my grand children from *8 - 12 (boys and girls) and me too! The 8 and 9 yr old girls got the alta hr. One is a very girly girl so she got the new rose gold with pink band. The gymnast requested a teal band - which was sold out by then - so I got her a "blue gray" band and ordered the teal band that she wanted separately. All pros. Absolutely no cons.

Perfect for my Technophobe Husband!

My husband comes home from work every night complaining that he's the only one that gets out of his chair and does anything: "I must have walk 2 miles today!". So, I made a mental note: Perfect for Father's Day! Before that, I heard quotes like: I am NOT wearing any of that stuff on my wrist! And, I don't need any of that technology!
This thing is tiny - a little bigger than a quarter! The pictures online don't do it justice. I was shocked when I picked it up (I did in store pickup - Love that!). When he saw the belt clip, his eyes lit up - but still skeptical! On the first day, he just shoved it in his pocket and left for work. When he came home, he checked it - he had walked over 6 miles and burned over a day's worth of calories. Now he checks it every day (to validate how hard his day was) and now competes online with my college grad sports coach daughter who is losing miserably. I could never have imagined that this would even be possible! Great tool for anyone!

Fitbit ultra hr .. does this work with an IPod? My son doesn’t have a phone yet but wants a Fitbit. Thanks so much
I was told it is compatible with ipod touch and up. I bought fitbits for 5 out of 6 grandchildren. # 6 was into other things - like snowboarding.
The older 4 had compatible smart devices. The 8 yr old girl was a little young for an upgraded smart device - so her mom gave her options of using mom's iphone or the family ipad for now - and she was happy with that. She'll probably get a compatible device of her own next year.
