Never get tired of watching this telling of the Arthurian legend. The long run time is needed to cover the entire story but it seems to go by so fast. A number of established actors are seen here early in their careers. The classical score will stay with you long after the film is over.
This release compiles all ten episodes of The White Queen a made-for-TV adaptation of books from the historical fiction writer Philippa Gregory. The story concerns three women who each attempt to gain and solidify their power during the War of the Roses.
This series unfolds from the perspective of the women behind the men seeking power and control of the British monarchy. A good take on this fascinating period in England's history. The series does try to cover a little too much ground for a relatively small amount of episodes. Still worth picking up on the cheap.
Relive all seven seasons of the revolutionary sci-fi television series Star Trek: The Next Generation, which aired between 1987 and 1994. Scrapping the original series' limited "five-year mission" for a more ambitious ongoing one, Star Trek: The Next Generation aims high from its first episode. The Enterprise D is captained by Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart), a leader more reserved and thought-driven than the beloved Captain Kirk. Other notable crew members include Klingon lieutenant Worf (Michael Dorn), security chief Tasha Yar (Denise Crosby), android Data (Brent Spiner), empathic ship's counselor Deanna Troi (Marina Sirtis), first officer Will Riker (Jonathan Frakes) VISOR-wearing lieutenant Geordi La Forge (LeVar Burton), Chief Medical Officer Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden), and her genius son Wesley (Wil Wheaton). This release features tons of bonus content and behind the scenes features.
Any seven season TV series will have ups and downs content wise and TNG is no exception. The good outweighs the bad and TNG is still the best overall Star Trek series from a thought-provoking standpoint. The blu-ray version is well worth the upgrade. A must for any true Trek fan.
From executive producer Tom Hanks, the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers tells the story of a collection of soldiers from the 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Armed Forces, also known as "Easy Company", during World War II. The ten-episode story spans from 1942 during the group's training to the conclusion of fighting in Europe, and focuses on the experiences and tribulations of the individuals fighting for the Stars and Stripes in addition to important events such as D-Day and the liberation of Holocaust survivors. The series features stars including Damian Lewis (Homeland), Ron Livingston (Office Space), Donnie Wahlberg and Michael Fassbender.
Saw for the first time when it came out on DVD. Ended up binge watching because it was so captivating. Damian Lewis in an early career making role. Best WWII drama in my opinion. Worth the double-dip to blu-ray.
A good biopic gives insight into the mindset of its protagonist. Even better when the setting is one that you can yourself relate to. Having personally contemplated long through-hikes like the journey depicted, this movie gets the juices flowing to give it a shot. Should be an inspiration to all.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt shows his versatility in this entertaining actioner. Not going to win a bunch of awards but there are worse ways to spend an hour and a half of your life. Plot keeps moving along before you get bored.
With so many time travel movies, is it possible to come up with a new twist? I guess so, as this is one. There's a scene near the beginning that depicts the passage of time that stunned me when I first saw it. Well acted and a fitting ending makes it a strong recommendation.
After the first three Connery films this has to rank as the best. Skyfall even pays homage to those original classics to come full circle. Of course the special effects have come a long way since those early days and it's refreshing to see the Bond character less of the caricature that he has become in recent decades. Give us more like this!
Watched it on Blu-ray last weekend and still enjoyed the heck out of it even after seeing it so many times previously. Arnold at his box office prime. The PQ is quite good for an older film. The AQ is definitely not up to current blockbuster standards but serves the picture well enough. Forget the remake and catch the original.

Big, bright screen and plenty of memory. Upgraded to Windows 8.1 fairly soon after buying this and it was a big improvement. Still a bit of a learning curve if you're used to earlier versions of Windows. The 17.3" screen really works well when you split the screen.
