Different, but just as good.

Another strong release from Iron & Wine. Like the collaboration with Calexico, this album sees more varied instrumentation than previous releases, such as more electric guitar and new drum sounds. It's different, sure, (even..."funky" at times) and might not appeal as much to people who still prefer the lo-fi, stripped-down home recordings, but Beam's songwriting and vocals are as great and endearing as ever. Highly recommended.
What's great about it: Varied instruments, sounds. Strong songwriting.
What's not so great: None, unless you strongly favor earlier production values.
I would recommend this to a friend!
