I purchased this remote to better photograph the moon, and using it, I took the best picture of the moon I've ever taken by far! Served its purpose perfectly.

Yep! I got this remote for my Nikon D3200 and it worked perfectly. No setup required.

Does this remote require a wireless transmitter?

Does this or any wireless remote require a wireless transmitter? If so, could I please get some suggestions.

I used this with my Nikon D3200 and didn't have to mess with anything. I just took the protective cover off of the battery and it automatically synced up with my camera.
