Not Best Option for All Dishwashers

BB requires purchase of this hookup kit for any dishwasher to be installed by one of their contractors (dishwasher installs are easy, but the install was free with an ongoing BB promo so I went for it).
This kit can probably be used to connect any dishwasher that BB sells. However, this kit is not likely your best option if you're buying certain brands of dishwasher (a Bosch in my case). If you're buying a Bosch and have a conventional outlet behind your dishwasher, an equally valid hookup option is simply to purchase a Bosch power cable (SMZPC002UC) - which BB sells at a competitive price. From here you can use the high quality water line (included and already attached to your Bosch dishwasher) for a simpler installation.
If you buy this hookup kit with a mid-higher end Bosch dishwasher (and if you have an outlet, rather than unterminated power line, behind your dishwasher) the installer will do the following:
(1) plug the power cable into your existing outlet (the power cable has a conventional plug on one end and bare connections on the other).
(2) the power cable will be run into a Bosch junction box (that comes with the dishwasher). Often/typically, this junction box will be installed in the cabinet beside your dishwasher cutout (likely under your sink).
(3) a separate (included) power lead will be run from the junction box back to your dishwasher.
If you have a hot/unterminated power line running to your dishwaher, the junction box approach has some merit. However, if you have an electrical outlet (which seems increasingly common and/or required by local codes), use of this hookup kit is relatively inefficient. I'd encourage everyone to LOOKUP THE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS for their dishwasher to make an informed decision.
For example:
(1) In my last house (2007 build) I bought a mid grade Bosch "Integra" dishwasher in 2011. I hard wired this dishwasher to a power line coming from my wall. No hookup kit was necessary because I was able to attach the electrical lead directly to the dishwasher and the included/attached water/waste lines were adequate to complete my installation. This dishwasher did not include a junction box.
(2) I bought my parents a Bosch 800 series dishwasher and installed it for them at Christmas in 2013. Their house (1994 build) had an unterminated power line running from the wall. I used the included electrical junction box and ran it to the adjacent sink cabinet. I believe a hardwire option may have also existed, but use of the junction box allowed to quicker disconnection of the dishwasher if it ever needed to be removed (which, granted, isn't a common occurrence). The water/waste connection plumbing that came with the dishwasher was adequate.
(3) In my latest house (2013 build) my dishwasher had a conventional electrical outlet (plug) behind the dishwasher. In this case, I ordered the Bosch power cable to connect power to the dishwasher. The existing water/waste lines work just fine. The power cable that BB sells (for delivery only) is $10 cheaper than the generic hookup kit and makes for a cleaner installation.
The kit is returnable, so I plan on taking it back. My house is 2 years old an BB had no problem taking by dryer hookup kit back, so I don't expect any problems with this return either.

Canon EF 70–200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Telephoto Zoom Lens This telephoto zoom lens is an essential tool for professional photographers and skilled amateurs. The variable focal length makes it useful for photographing a broad range of subjects, and the 2.8 maximum aperture functions well in low-light situations. Snap candid portraits, stop the action at sporting events or compose wedding photos with exceptional blurred backgrounds.

Lives Up to the Hype!

I've owned the Canon 70-200 f/4L, the Canon 70-200 f/4L IS, and just upgraded to the Canon 70-200 f/2.8L IS II. All of the above lenses offer great value (despite the wide variance in price).
I don't need f/2.8 for most of my shooting and thought the f/4L IS would suit my needs well. Apart from the aperture advantage of the f/2.8, there isn't much to optically distinguish the f/4L IS from the f/2.8 IS II. I did notice a very small amount of chromatic aberration on the f/4 that wasn't present on the f/2.8. However, it should be noted that this was only observed after resampling an image for a 40in x 60in print (and was easily corrected).
I won't bother rehashing all of the superlative comments that have been made about this lens by professionals and enthusiastic amateurs alike (which is why I focused on comparing lenses within the lineup more than on specific characteristics of this lens).
Many people can't discuss these lenses without mentioning the additional weight burden of the f/2.8L IS II (and how the f/4L IS is a better option for uses such as travel). As an avid traveler I followed this logic and bought the f/4L IS. The f/4L IS is a great lens, but I found myself buying the f/2.8L IS II less than 2 years later for the following reasons:
(1) Knowing the f/2.8 was ever so slightly better than the f/4L IS with regard to optics.
(2) Canon includes the tripod ring with the f/2.8L IS II. This accessory must be purchased separately with the f/4L IS. Sadly this is a very expensive accessory.
(3) I was kicking around the idea of buying a 300mm f/4L IS lens. This zoom with a 1.4x III teleconverter will get me to approximately the same place for less money (perhaps with a slight loss in optical quality, but a gain in versatility).
This is the best 70-200 class zoom lens ever put into production. Buy this lens if you can afford it and you won't be disappointed. I personally think that the "weight penalty" discussed with this lens is overstated in most reviews (I prefer handling my camera with the bigger and heavier f/2.8 mounted). If you can't afford this lens you'll be very pleased with the f/4L IS version.

What's great about it: Image Quality, AF Performance, Build Quality, Great IS
What's not so great: Bigger and heavier than the slower f/4 version (unavoidable and not a big deal to me personally).
I would recommend this to a friend!
