Plugged in to printer and feels like a good tight connection. Cord appears and feels like it is of a quality material. I see no reason to believe that the cord won't be in it for the long haul, Recommend using this cord if you need for a printer connection.

why does the water not go through to the cup. Lots of noise will dribble about 1/4 of the amount of water in the cup?
A paper clip up through hole on top where water enters the k cup can become plugged. Run the paper clip up into the hole.
